You don't see a lighter in the immediate vicinity. Or discarded. The only things you find are what you'd expect - matches and lighter with candles in the kitchen and storeroom. You don't notice anything out of place about them, though. (...Yes, Illina lit one of the fireworks from the unused box of them in Hitomi's cabin during the investigation earlier. That's just something that Happened. Like she didn't light the cabin on fire. Which she well might have. Don't question it.)

True, the Horde used laser guns, spears, and their own hands for combat. But after he saw She-Ra in action, he could at least recognize a sword-induced slice. Even if Guts's wasn't infused with First Ones Tech.

...Hordak will notice that there isn't any distinct cut mark on Hitomi's neck. Her neck is charred and burnt.

Perhaps the sword was not used. Perhaps Guts simply used his arm... cannon... thing. Even with his claims that it would be costly.

Then how did Hitomi die? It can't have been the fireworks, the explosion would likely be far too great, so it stands to reason that you have the weapon for it, unless you can tell me how she died.

The explosion might have been controlled, perhaps, in an attempt to frame you. But why leave the fireworks there? Why show us how they framed you? I don't think that it was a controlled explosion. I think you shot her, Guts.
