RE: Escape from Zombie Park Island - PointMaid - 02-06-2021 Challenge 3 One of my – former – keepers was a real joker, in the Batman sense. She stole my pteranodon and gave me a treasure hunt all through time. (You saw my spacetime vortex yesterday. DNA decays, my dears, and despite what you may have read and seen in Jurassic Park – by the time you get to millions of years old – how else did you think I was going to get the genetic material for my park? The dodos and thylacines were as easy as pie compared to that archaeopteryx I had you chasing.) I'm going to need you to take this portable space-time vortex and find her clues, and bring my pteranodon home! They've left a note that each clue found contains a zombie repellant, that I should let you know even I haven't developed or I would have USED IT, which will protect you from getting bitten. For today, anyway. To use the vortex, punch in the name of the geological period, such as the Cambrian (you may refer to this for the names and locations in time of the periods: https://ucmp.berkeley.edu/help/timeform.php) Dr. Frankie hands you each a vortex machine and the first clue: a fish jaw and the note,"Go fish! Or so one might commonly guess, based on the age." RE: Escape from Zombie Park Island - KungFuCutbug - 02-06-2021 “Nobody's fuckin’ dead? That's... not what I was expectin’.” [Pico rubs the back of his head, sheepish.] “Guess this island does have some pleasant surprises up its damn sleeves, plus all the fuckin’ nasty ones.” “So now what're you tryin’ to do? Handwritin’ analysis? I'm not the best with that, but I can show you I didn't fuckin’ write that, at least...” [He >looks for something to write on/with to prove his point.] RE: Escape from Zombie Park Island - Guma - 02-06-2021 To where exactly art we going? RE: Escape from Zombie Park Island - PointMaid - 02-06-2021 Oh - it says clues must be followed in order. If you go to where one of the clues is before you've found the one leading you there, you will find nothing. RE: Escape from Zombie Park Island - Mr. Lee Hammer - 02-06-2021 I did get one idea, but we'll discuss it later. For now, I need to do my job. > Uses vortex and searches The Triassic Period RE: Escape from Zombie Park Island - KungFuCutbug - 02-06-2021 “Ah shit, fuckin’ time travel? Hmph. Hope I don't accidentally cause the fuckin’ Nazis to win World War 2 while I'm fiddlin’ with this thing.” >Carboniferous Period RE: Escape from Zombie Park Island - PointMaid - 02-06-2021 You find nothing in the Triassic. RE: Escape from Zombie Park Island - PointMaid - 02-06-2021 You find nothing in the Carboniferous. Except trees. Lots of trees. RE: Escape from Zombie Park Island - Kennifer - 02-06-2021 Kim checks the note, takes the vortex, and... >try the Ordovician Period RE: Escape from Zombie Park Island - Mr. Lee Hammer - 02-06-2021 > searches The Permian Period RE: Escape from Zombie Park Island - PointMaid - 02-06-2021 There is nothing to find in the Ordovician or the Permian. RE: Escape from Zombie Park Island - KungFuCutbug - 02-06-2021 “Whoops.” >Silurian Period? you don't wanna jump too drastically RE: Escape from Zombie Park Island - artsyGeek - 02-06-2021 Percy decides to > check the Cambrian period. RE: Escape from Zombie Park Island - Kennifer - 02-06-2021 How about the... >Silurian Period RE: Escape from Zombie Park Island - PointMaid - 02-06-2021 The Cambrian and the Permian yield no clues. RE: Escape from Zombie Park Island - Mr. Lee Hammer - 02-06-2021 > Try The Devonian Period RE: Escape from Zombie Park Island - PointMaid - 02-06-2021 Neither does the Silurian. RE: Escape from Zombie Park Island - PointMaid - 02-06-2021 In the Devonian period you find a golden box! You open it, and... (One minute, please) RE: Escape from Zombie Park Island - PointMaid - 02-06-2021 ...The Devonian has been nicknamed the Age of Fishes, after all. Inside the golden box, you find a lump of coal. There's also a note: "It's organic!" RE: Escape from Zombie Park Island - KungFuCutbug - 02-06-2021 >okay THIS has to be the Carboniferous Period RE: Escape from Zombie Park Island - Mr. Lee Hammer - 02-06-2021 Found something in the Devonian. A lump of coal! One that's organic according to the note. RE: Escape from Zombie Park Island - PointMaid - 02-06-2021 You find a golden box in the Carboniferous period! (Stand by) RE: Escape from Zombie Park Island - Mr. Lee Hammer - 02-06-2021 > Examines the coal RE: Escape from Zombie Park Island - Kennifer - 02-06-2021 Kim also >Carboniferous period RE: Escape from Zombie Park Island - PointMaid - 02-06-2021 Inside the Carboniferous box, you find a copy of "Wonderful Life: The Burgess Shale and the Nature of History" by Stephen Jay Gould. The included note?: "Watch all my plans explode on to the scene." |
