Isaac, for the first time in a while, smiled.
We got one!
And with that, he finally had a clear enough head to do the day's challenge.
1. Give it meat with sleeping pills hidden inside, then drag them while they're unconscious.
2. Drag it to a fenced-off area.
3. Pluck one of the feathers, again while they're still unconscious.
4. When it wakes up, plop a bunch of meat in the enclosure.

Dr. Frankie stares right back. Quietly, deliberately, she says, If I could make a cure do you not think I would have used it?
Before storming off to get a gin and tonic, she hands Isaac his score:
Isaac earned scores of 4, 5, 1 and 1 for a final score of 11. The sleeping pills work well again, and he's able to drag the archaeopteryx to the enclosure. But, it wakes up while he's plucking a feather and just plopping a bunch of meat… turns into a reeking disaster area.

William Jennings Bryan shows up on the scene at last, with no explanation whatsoever of where he was.
My word, I see you got my message. Indeed, it was Thrivey, and indeed, I pray so hard that God heals people. For my first night, I protected Issac from turning, and for my second, I protected Pico.
He then proceeds to deal with the archaeopteryx problem.
Step 1. Lure the Archaeopteryx with shiny objects, such as gold and silver disks on a chain. It looks like a bird, so surely it likes shiny objects, much like a crow, raven, or magpie.
Step 2. Chain it with silver manacles to a gold post driven into the ground, so it cannot escape.
Step 3. See if it dropped a feather on the way over. If not, try to grab a feather with some silversmith tongs.
Step 4. Take the Thylacine electrocuted with the cattle prod yesterday and give it to the Archaeopteryx to eat.

Think nothing of it, Pico. I was just making what I believed the right decision. Tobacco may cure lung disease, but I fear this zombie plague is a plague of the blood. I thought that perhaps a dragon could fight it off. I was sorely mistaken. But by my actions, I believe, that since these... undead demons take the minds of those they possess, I may become a target for them, as they will know me as the one thing standing in between them and victory.
And, to the point, I saw you best Doctor Coomer with a single strike. Such fearsome combat prowess could not be allowed to fall into the hands of those demons. That we have lost two innocent lives is a tragedy, and my only goal is that we lose no more. Though, this is only the fourth day, and I suspect we will not be able to leave on the day the next boat arrives until everyone is made sure to be free of this diabolical disease. We may lose many more, but I pray we do not.
