> Look for any C names in the police files. Police officers, detectives, police chiefs, CSI...

RE: Free Association: Part One. Day 2: "Showered with Spy-te" - Kennifer - 09-14-2021

HUH MOR3 P3OPL3 TH4N 1 R34L1Z3D W1TH C N4M3S 4ROUND H3R3

Another thing that starts with C is "croissant"; she pulls several out of hammerspace and offers them around.

RE: Free Association: Part One. Day 2: "Showered with Spy-te" - Mr. Lee Hammer - 09-14-2021

Thank you, Evil Jay says, accepting a croissant and begins snacking on it.

RE: Free Association: Part One. Day 2: "Showered with Spy-te" - Florien - 09-14-2021

Police people with C. [9] Chief of police and De-Facto dictator of Tripford Martin K. Clearday, who rules out of the main station. He doesn't come out to the nine blocks, so he couldn't have made the call. Several Detectives and beat officers, too numerous to list. Clara Corey Meitner, of course, and Clarence Dufort on the CSI team... except Dufort was the second victim of the C.L.K.

RE: Free Association: Part One. Day 2: "Showered with Spy-te" - PointMaid - 09-14-2021

Thanks, Terezi! This is hungry work, all this running around.

...This Clara Corey Meitner. She keeps coming up. Something tells me she's involved somehow. And the CSI's haven't been doing the work they could, have they?

RE: Free Association: Part One. Day 2: "Showered with Spy-te" - PointMaid - 09-14-2021

That C could definitely stand for Clara. And I'd believe a CSI would know how to cover their tracks and use a voice changer.

RE: Free Association: Part One. Day 2: "Showered with Spy-te" - Mr. Lee Hammer - 09-14-2021

Another possibility. That woman who is following Pete apparently. I don't suppose it's Clara, is she?

RE: Free Association: Part One. Day 2: "Showered with Spy-te" - Kennifer - 09-14-2021

Y3S 1 TH1NK TH3R3 1S MOR3 TO CL4R4 TH4N SH3 WOULD L1K3 TO L3T ON
M4YB3 SOM3ON3 SHOULD FOLLOW H3R 1N D1SGU1S3 OR SOM3TH1NG
J3 N3 SU1S P4S SÛR

Terezi ponders this as she munches a croissant.

Snap stands up. Then, without warning, he

> Try to find a good disguise

RE: Free Association: Part One. Day 2: "Showered with Spy-te" - Florien - 09-14-2021

[?] Yeah, that should be a good enough disguise to disguise you...

RE: Free Association: Part One. Day 2: "Showered with Spy-te" - Magolor - 09-14-2021

"That bar keeps coming up..."

>Order some (non-alcoholic) drinks (not so loudly) and wait around for any chatter about people with "C" for names...

RE: Free Association: Part One. Day 2: "Showered with Spy-te" - The Map Maker - 09-14-2021

>Remind yourself of everything you leraned so far.

RE: Free Association: Part One. Day 2: "Showered with Spy-te" - The Map Maker - 09-14-2021

*learned

RE: Free Association: Part One. Day 2: "Showered with Spy-te" - Cassie - 09-14-2021

Anaheim grabs a bunch of baguettes, monches all but one, and goes to the bar, swinging the last bread like a sword.

> "Yo any C sus around here?"

RE: Free Association: Part One. Day 2: "Showered with Spy-te" - PointMaid - 09-14-2021

...You know, C could even be the sound of the first part of 'Seko'. Shortening it to 'Se.' And we've already established that Seko's real identity is this Clara Meitner woman.

RE: Free Association: Part One. Day 2: "Showered with Spy-te" - Subparman - 09-14-2021

>Might be something of a stretch, but does that pawn shop have any purchase records? Particularly pertaining to Clara Meitner?

RE: Free Association: Part One. Day 2: "Showered with Spy-te" - wingedcatgirl - 09-14-2021

HOW ARE YOU THIS BAD AT VOICE SHENANIGANS IT'S NOT EVEN THAT HARD

"C could be anyone, in principle," Sariel mutters, trying their best to ignore Vivi. "They might even have picked that letter as their pseudonym because their real name doesn't have any C's in it..."

Just to check, Sariel looks through all the relevant records for possibly-relevant people whose full names contain zero C's.

RE: Free Association: Part One. Day 2: "Showered with Spy-te" - Florien - 09-14-2021

Order drinks and listen to bar chatter. [5]: Lots of C names. C-Co Meitner of course, the bartender is named Cicero for some reason, there's a Clark, a Clipton, a Cleveland, a Clairborune, and of course "Chief Clearday".

Seven thinks about everything that he's personally learned. [6]: Well, you've learned that the office is unoccupied, the arms dealers sell dubiously legal weapons and are plentiful, the police are over-fortified and have a goddamn tank, the day warehouse guard blocks the door when they sleep but doesn't seem to protect the chemical supply warehouse, just the Strickland warehouse, and that block seven is the only place the CSI team won't go to investigate crime scenes, and is also a mess.

Anaheim tries to ask questions in the bar... [2]: Like I say to all your people, you going to buy something, or just annoy my customers?

Pawn Shop purchase records. [6]: Sorry, I don't keep records of purchasers. For discretion. Which I offer.

People who's names you know which don't contain Cs you can think of who could be relevant? Well, there's Romero, of course, there's Officer Johnson (the tank driver), there's Jim Sand, (The night guard at the warehouses), that's about everyone who's name you know who's name doesn't contain a C.

RE: Free Association: Part One. Day 2: "Showered with Spy-te" - Florien - 09-14-2021

Anaheim can be seen whispering to the bartender for a moment. About two seconds later, the bartender and a couple backroom staff grab Anaheim, wrestle him to the ground, and throw him out of the bar.

RE: Free Association: Part One. Day 2: "Showered with Spy-te" - Cassie - 09-14-2021

"Coffee beans and ESPRESSO LATTE! WHAT IN ALL OF PISTACHIO ICE CREAM IS WRONG WITH YOU STRAWBERRIES AAAAAAAAAASJKDGASGDAS!!?!??!?"

...wtf.

RE: Free Association: Part One. Day 2: "Showered with Spy-te" - Cassie - 09-14-2021

>also make pizzicato noises in frustration again

RE: Free Association: Part One. Day 2: "Showered with Spy-te" - Florien - 09-14-2021

MOUTH NOISES OF RAGE [10]: You sound like a stringed instrument being tortured with pliers very loudly.

RE: Free Association: Part One. Day 2: "Showered with Spy-te" - artsyGeek - 09-14-2021

> . .alright. Maybe check the sewers - Perhaps someone who knows the info we need is down there?

RE: Free Association: Part One. Day 2: "Showered with Spy-te" - Florien - 09-14-2021

You break into the sewers, somehow managing to not injure yourself lifting the manhole cover, and look around for people. [5]: You find a sewer worker who's down there, clearly alarmed that someone not in remotely adequate protective gear is down in the sewer.

RE: Free Association: Part One. Day 2: "Showered with Spy-te" - TenOfSwords13 - 09-14-2021

>Look for Meitner, ideally without her noticing
