RE: Free Association: Part One. Day 2: "Showered with Spy-te" - Kennifer - 09-13-2021 >Try to get in contact with the others and get caught up on stuff so I've got a reason to know all this IC. RE: Free Association: Part One. Day 2: "Showered with Spy-te" - Florien - 09-13-2021 [9]: You gain all the public knowledge. RE: Free Association: Part One. Day 2: "Showered with Spy-te" - PointMaid - 09-13-2021 Runner Five is going to > Try to track down if anybody had or was issued a voice changer - including police. RE: Free Association: Part One. Day 2: "Showered with Spy-te" - Florien - 09-13-2021 Track down issuance or purchase of a voice changer. [6]: Apparently you can just buy physical ones online, or get a software version pretty easily. RE: Free Association: Part One. Day 2: "Showered with Spy-te" - PointMaid - 09-13-2021 ...Well that's not helping much, is it? > Can you find software to de-change the voice? Then maybe you can figure out who it is if it's someone you know already. RE: Free Association: Part One. Day 2: "Showered with Spy-te" - Florien - 09-13-2021 [4]: You can find software which can undistort the voice... except that it has to be keyed to the exact settings and type of the original voice changer, so it's not enormously helpful, given that many different types could produce similar effects. RE: Free Association: Part One. Day 2: "Showered with Spy-te" - wingedcatgirl - 09-13-2021 Sariel, who has totally somehow caught up on all this information IC despite being a paranoiac who doesn't trust anyone else on their team, decides to look into phone records and see if they can figure out where that answering machine message came from that way. RE: Free Association: Part One. Day 2: "Showered with Spy-te" - Florien - 09-13-2021 Phone records! [8]: Through some completely legitimate and not at all questionably legal and questionably possible avenues, you track the number... to a cell phone number registered to an apparently nonexistent person with a very fake sounding name called "Andrew James John" which called from somewhere within the nine blocks. RE: Free Association: Part One. Day 2: "Showered with Spy-te" - Kennifer - 09-13-2021 SO SOM3ON3 W4RN3D MR ROM3RO W3 W3R3 COM1NG S4CR3 BL3U NO WOND3R H3 W4S SO UNH3LPFUL TOW4RDS TH3 3ND SO W3 M1GHT NOT 3V3N B3 LOOK1NG FOR 4 B4LD GUY W1TH 4 BLOND B34RD TH3N 1F H3 W4S TRY1NG TO THROW US OFF TR4CK ON PURPOS3 TH4T WOULD 3XPL41N 4 LOT >:[ RE: Free Association: Part One. Day 2: "Showered with Spy-te" - PointMaid - 09-13-2021 ...At least zombies are straightforward. They come for you directly. Then you run from them or cut their head off or something. And then it's over. You know where the danger is coming from. Well, as long as you can see them coming. Powerful noses on some of them. Sniff you out in a heartbeat. Still, pretty dumb, most of them, anyway. RE: Free Association: Part One. Day 2: "Showered with Spy-te" - Kennifer - 09-13-2021 W3LL 4 POW3RFUL NOS3 C4N B3 QU1T3 TH3 4SS3T CRO1S MO1 >:] And the zombies probably can't even smell colors! RE: Free Association: Part One. Day 2: "Showered with Spy-te" - wingedcatgirl - 09-13-2021 Sariel frowns. "That seemed likely, but still a little annoying..." They seek out a pay phone and some change to dial "Andrew James John"'s number, just to see what happens. Probably not much of use. But it's worth checking. RE: Free Association: Part One. Day 2: "Showered with Spy-te" - Mr. Lee Hammer - 09-13-2021 You know, one time I entered a nose wiping competition but was disqualified. Can't believe I blew it. RE: Free Association: Part One. Day 2: "Showered with Spy-te" - PointMaid - 09-13-2021 Five tries to hold back, but... she laughs hysterically. RE: Free Association: Part One. Day 2: "Showered with Spy-te" - Kennifer - 09-13-2021 H3H3H3H3H3H3 HON HON HON TH4T W4S 4 GOOD ON3 >:] RE: Free Association: Part One. Day 2: "Showered with Spy-te" - Florien - 09-13-2021 Call the number. [6]: You somehow find a payphone and enough cash to call. It rings a few times, and then an automated recording plays. "You've reached C., Leave a message at the tone. *BEEP*." The recording was amateurish, clearly made via text-to-speech. RE: Free Association: Part One. Day 2: "Showered with Spy-te" - wingedcatgirl - 09-13-2021 Extremely risky gambit maneuver! At the beep, Sariel says, in the deepest and most distorted voice they can manage... "yoU reallY smelL likE doG bunS" What... is this meant to accomplish? Ooh! I know! They're hoping to overhear someone complaining about this call later! Right in one, Finch, Sariel thinks with a grin. RE: Free Association: Part One. Day 2: "Showered with Spy-te" - PointMaid - 09-13-2021 ...C? Anybody remember anyone with that initial or something? Hmmm... I'm going to try something else. I don't know if it'll work, but... > Try to find out where exactly the person was calling from - cell tower records or where the building the line is registered for is if it's a landline. Then check out the building both physically and in records to see what's there and who owns it. RE: Free Association: Part One. Day 2: "Showered with Spy-te" - Dookie - 09-13-2021 Hmmm…they're not picking up. > Any more info on this Andrew John person accessible at this time? RE: Free Association: Part One. Day 2: "Showered with Spy-te" - Kennifer - 09-13-2021 >Try to remember anyone mentioned in the files with C as a first or last initial RE: Free Association: Part One. Day 2: "Showered with Spy-te" - Florien - 09-13-2021 That's certainly a PLAN. [1]: Not a great plan, as your deepest and most distorted voice is very obviously YOUR voice, but hopefully the person you just called never meets you, or if they do, they're not in a "shoot someone over an insult" mood. Try to narrow down the location more. [3]: It's from a cell phone... but the Cell tower apparently deletes their records at the end of each day for some reason, and the call was made the day before you all showed up as "police consultants", so it's been erased. Information on Andrew John. [6]: Well, the information should be obvious from the name. It's blatantly a fake name and the only thing connected to it that you can find is that cell phone. Remember people with C. as an initial. [7]: Well, you remember that Seko's full name is Clara Corey Meitner. That's the only living person with a C initial you remember meeting who's name you know. RE: Free Association: Part One. Day 2: "Showered with Spy-te" - Dookie - 09-13-2021 > Is there any spy here with a C initial in their name? RE: Free Association: Part One. Day 2: "Showered with Spy-te" - Florien - 09-13-2021 Scott Cameron and Squid Ink Cookie are the only ones with C initials. RE: Free Association: Part One. Day 2: "Showered with Spy-te" - Mr. Lee Hammer - 09-14-2021 > Try to get a list of names of people who work at the construction site and see if any of their names start with "C" RE: Free Association: Part One. Day 2: "Showered with Spy-te" - Florien - 09-14-2021 Check out the construction workers! [5]: You read the punch forms, because they're apparently using a physical punch clock and not a digital one. It looks like there's a few with "C" names, like Vincent Corelli, Clark McKay, William Connell, and a couple more. |
