Suddenly the edgy kid slips on some newly formed ice.
"Whoa! Hey! WHAT THE FUCK!?"
He slips and slides...towards the island's edge.
"GUYS!?"

Amethyst and Nephrite were both in the water where it turned to ice, and they were not amused at being frozen. All that can be heard was Amethyst saying "I'll shatter whoever did this."

"Ahhh, holy shit, thanks-AH!"
He's not out of the ice yet.
Henka has gone off and recollected the trash he dumped at the beach, whilst Chris takes notes.
"Maybe the boy did it himself, maybe it's the Void..." Chris tells Amethyst.

"If it's the boy, I am not letting them leave the island unhar--" Amethyst said, before Nephrite interrupts her with: "Touch them once, and you know what I'll do.
"FINE, then." Amethyst said, in a rather reluctant and annoyed tone of voice.

Loren breathes a jet of blue flame, carefully melting the ice.

After that happens, Amethyst and Nephrite climb out of the melted ice, and decide to go set-up a game of beach volleyball to play.

"Ohhhh, thanks!" The edgy kid gets back up to his feet.
"Yo! Is that volleyball?"
"Wait, what's volleyball?"
"Y'know, that sport where you yeet the ball up and at your opponent, back to back..."
Chris takes note of "Volleyball" whilst observing Amethyst and Nephrite setting up the game.
"I wanna play!"

Amanda's hair is now straight again, and a deep plummy purple.

Henka has gone off and found a volleyball.

"From what I've heard about it, it seems like something that humans do to pass the time, which has some level of competition value in it." Amethyst says, to which Nephrite says "So that's what this is? I thought we were setting up some kinda unconventional catapult or something."

"I definitely wanna try playing this." Chris says as she puts away her notebook and pen, joining the others at the court.
The edgy kid lays down where Loren the otter is nearby.
"So...how did you got here? How did anyone got here?"

Amethyst and Nephrite look at each other in confusion, then looks back for Nephrite to say "Wait, what? THAT'S volleyball? I knew it involved some spherical object, I had no idea it required us to send it flying to our opponents by slapping it."

Chris grabs the volleyball Henka yeeted.
"Alright..."
She fires the first serve - she flings the ball at Nephrite!
"WOO~!"

Nephrite panics as she waves her arm up and down quickly, as if to repel the volleyball. It somehow works at bouncing the ball towards Amethyst, who quickly bounces it upwards and slaps the ball, sending it back to the other two at quick speed. Nephrite just stares in confusion.
