Meanwhile, Frankie and Paul go onto the tour of the island, looking at the various animal life Frankie has on the island, with a good number of them being species that were once extinct. She even shows him the plans to expand this into the park. And at the end, they find themselves at the research center with experiments showing off working on the cure and samples of the virus.
So this is the heart and soul of it all...

Shoehorn... do you understand how much money it takes to run a place like this? The only way I'm going to be able to take care of the animals properly... give them proper veterinary care... bring back even more species... is by partnering with somebody. I'm not going to do anything foolish. But I can't turn my back on the modern world. Not like you did. I know there are risks, but that's what I do. I take calculated risks and make them work. Besides... I'm keeping an eye on him, but what stakeholder wouldn't want to see everything? I think you're overreacting. I understand you have your reasons, but... just trust me.

Fluttershy, meanwhile, is simply reminded of all the antagonists she knew who got into Equestria's good graces by acting sweet and kind. Flim and Flam, Queen Chrysalis, Starlight Glimmer, Gladmane, all of them. Needless to say, she has learned to never pour all her trust into somebody on the first meeting. She's going to be firmly on Team Shoehorn for the time being.
"So you guys think we might need to perform...a couple? Because I'm with Shoehorn. This is wrong." She whispers to the others, nibbling broccoli.
