A box of chocolates got me wondering what the fuck zabaglione is. Turns out it's just a kind of Italian custard cannibalism jokes ensue

I... actually knew that because Sophia made some once on The Golden Girls. (And you thought it would've been from the food network...)

“Motel” means “motor hotel”, not “mobile hotel”. (How cool would a mobile hotel be, though?)

The short story "Cat Pictures Please" has a full-length sequel.

The term “nerf” comes from the Nerf dart gun brand. People used to compare guns being made worse in FPS games to using a Nerf gun.

There is this one song I know called "Today Is The Day". Ever since I heard of it (A few years, FYI), I always thought this one line was "Following paths that we place as we go!". Nope, it's actually "Following paths that we blaze as we go!".

There's a pheromone found in the saliva of male wild pigs and truffle mushrooms that're powerful enough to advance the onset of purberty in young female pigs.

The AD in years (e.g. 2021 AD) doesn't stand for "After Death". According to Wikipedia, it instead means Anno Domini, which translates to "in the year of the Lord". Also, there's no "year 0 AD/BC".

In Donkey Kong Country Returns, it's possible to whiff the initial punch (by throwing it too early) that leads up to DK beating up the Tiki that was possessing a boss. If you do, DK immediately skips to the final punch that sends it flying.

PS4 games have a trophy limit of 128 trophies - if devs want more for their game they have to add a separate trophy list. Found this out after wondering why the newest DJMAX DLC pack didn't have trophies even if all other similar packs did

In Chinese and Japanese, the names of the planets (the ones known to the ancients at least) are all named after the five classical elements.  "Wuxing" is the classical Chinese concept of the five elements.  The names of the planets is as follows:

Mercury = 水星 ("water star")
Venus = 金星 ("metal/gold star")
Mars = 火星 ("fire star")
Jupiter = 木星 ("wood star")
Saturn = 土星 ("earth/soil star")

I didn't include how to pronounce them, because while they're written the same in Chinese and Japanese, they aren't spoken the same.
