The Arena
In terms of what can actually be seen in the arena itself, it's... likely disorienting to most. There's no discernable source of light, and the only thing worth seeing is an ambiguously-sized chamber of off-black, but the competitors within can see each other just fine. The floor would feel sandy to anyone who would touch it.
"Four competitors have entered the arena... awaiting four more."

All of a sudden, a song starts playing all across the arena, as the announcer who's been talking this whole time talks again, a little louder this time.
"Esteemed guests, competitors, and workers of TC Broadcasting... welcome to the Trouble Cube Tournament Arc!"
All six of you find yourselves in a large, Roman-styled arena, sand on the ground below you, all facing towards a stage. At the very least, you have all of your standard stuff with you. Drones, with cameras attached, hover around, each with the Trouble Cube logo upon them, all facing towards one person - a large, silver-haired woman, clad in heavy plate armour, standing tall and proud upon the stage. No doubt that she's the announcer.
"Now... I suppose you're all wondering who I am. And, indeed, I shall answer! My name is Rose Guillory, and I am, as it is, the host of this event. Coming up very soon is a quick showcase fight, just to give you all a few expectations, but first of all... I believe some introductions are in order!"
The camera drones zoom over to you, their lenses focusing intently on a different person each, giving an almost impatient look.
(OOC: Sorry for taking so long; I was waiting for other sign-ups to fill the gaps left by Dookie and CutBug. I'll probably be using NPCs as temporary placeholders, both with valid reasons to drop out of the tournament.)

Maybe he just arrived. Maybe he was standing here for a while. Whatever the case was, a short-ish meerkat dude, a purple sash around his neck, a dagger in a sheath on his waits, and black gloves upon his hands, made his presence known:
"The name's Azar. I originally came to watch. But, now that I'm in the arena itself, I'm here to win. You'd better watch your backs..."
Following him, a yellow robot, smooth and slender (aside from a rather boxy, cyplopsic head), came charing in.
"Ah! Why did all this have to be so last second? Anyway... I am a Debono-class Warbot, mk. 1 of the sort, but you can call me DW-1! I'm looking forward to competing here."
Mrs. Guillory claps once. "Well, there we have them, our competitors. Now, before we get to our little showcase fight, I'm sure you're all wondering how the tournament will be structured. Well, I'm here to answer. We'll be using a standardised 2 v 2 bracket system to determine our matchups - and, eventually the winner. And if you all want to see it, well, wait no longer!"
In the sky above the stage, the tournament bracket appears:
(OOC: Yeah, my NPC competitors look low-effort, but they're really just placeholder characters just in case anyone else wants to join in. The "showcase fight" will start some time tomorrow afternoon, but feel free to have reaction/interaction posts.)
