RE: The Aurora Project - Day 2: Death of a Disaster - KungFuCutbug - 11-06-2021 [Sherry exits the bathroom just in time to hear Bow say she nearly got shot with a gun. That's enough to freeze her in place.] "Oh... oj jesucristo are you alright?Mierda..." [She hastily walks over to Bow with a half-concerned, half-afraid expression on her face and—oop, now the Sylveon is getting BEARHUGGED.] RE: The Aurora Project - Day 2: Death of a Disaster - Oggy123 - 11-06-2021 Nintendo then treats himself with the first aid. "Arigatou, i needed that." RE: The Aurora Project - Day 2: Death of a Disaster - Caret - 11-06-2021 Bow finches the moment Sherry glomps her. Usually, she's the one initiating hugs, not the other way around; even then, she always asks before hugging somebody. "I-I'm all right, but thanks anyways..." Surprisingly enough, the Sylveon doesn't appear to be bothered by the unexpected hug, if her wrapping her soothing feelers around Sherry's arms and back is any indication. RE: The Aurora Project - Day 2: Death of a Disaster - PointMaid - 11-06-2021 Ruby shivers. ...I did not think that out well enough, did I? RE: The Aurora Project - Day 2: Death of a Disaster - Kennifer - 11-06-2021 "Well, that was decent, although all of that shoveling has worked up an appetite." Holly, once back inside, takes off the extra layers and will... > go find something vegetarian to eat RE: The Aurora Project - Day 2: Death of a Disaster - PointMaid - 11-06-2021 ...Yeah, I probably shouldn't linger out here. Ruby goes back inside. Oh, yeah! Food, she says, seeing Holly in the kitchen. We must've expended a lot of energy, true. ...I don't suppose there's any micronutrient algae around here. Um. Maybe some sauteed mushrooms. > Looks for the fixings for her sauteed mushroom recipe RE: The Aurora Project - Day 2: Death of a Disaster - Oggy123 - 11-06-2021 "Come to think of it, i'm hungry too!" > Find something to eat. RE: The Aurora Project - Day 2: Death of a Disaster - awe921 - 11-06-2021 Russell sighs. I guess it's back to work, then. Russell grabs another shovel and wonders... THE PLAN1. Shovel the snow out first, trying to mime what you observed from Voi and Sherry's makeshift grave dig. Then you can ignite your spade with Anger and melt the remaining pieces of snow. There should be a towel in the storage closet (or enough toilet paper from the bathrooms) to wipe the melted snow clean. If needed, you can ignite your bat and knife as a makeshift heater. Also, the bunkers have fallen open. So you just... close the door. That's it, really. 2. Loot the storage closet (and look around the armory's mess) for any useful things like pieces of metal or stuff, and TRY to bolt them in with a tool you find in there or something. Look for a blowtorch in the closet and armory to weld the gaps; if there's none, you'll just have to make-do with the flames from your knife. Now that the hole's hopefully gone, Russell would then do the same snow shoveling technique (hopefully he doesn't have to use TP), put the weapons back where they belong; you put what you assume to be the heavier and more useful weapons down, and the lighter, smaller ones high up. Russell is tempted to swap them around, but then he remembers that weapon closets were not made for short 14 year olds. 3. Russell doesn't quite understand why everybody else disassembles first, instead of looking the problem up. He tries to find a manual and gathers the tools he thinks he would require, alongside gloves, goggles, helmets, any kind of protective equipment he can find. Then, he flips through the pages of manual, looking for the problem. Look for instructions and try to fix the problem, using the equipment if the manual lists them. Once that part's done, Russell does the same thing he did with fixing the armory's hole; except he DEFINITELY doesn't want to risk using flames from his knife to do the job. This is machinery he's working with, afterall. 4. It's more snow. Atleast there's no door closing or weapon arranging. It's an open environment, so wiping wont work here atleast. Russell simply heads to the storage closet and grabs rock salt to complete his snow-shoveling arsenal, now spreading rock salt as he heats and shovels. RE: The Aurora Project - Day 2: Death of a Disaster - Cassie - 11-06-2021 >go find something vegetarian Okay nice you find a delicious salad in the fridge- ayo why the hell is it next to some braised beef. Like bruh. Either Heeko or the Pianist is being reckless on sorting even the cooked foods here. >Find fixings for sauteed mushrooms After OP figures out what "fixings" mean in this context, Ruby finds some stuff to make sauteed mushrooms, like a small frying pan (okay this is a teensy bit too small for her liking), some butter, and some beech, hedgehog, enoki, and morel mushrooms. >Find something to eat Would you like coffee crackers as bitter as your Switch catridges, Nintendo? He manages to get the snow shoveled out, but what remains melts from the angery spade, and spills on your pants and shoes. At least the floor's dry once it's time to close the door. Russell's metal patching is immediately undone from the melting knives that also lead to bits of molten metal scorching you, forcing you to...use toilet paper and snow to patch the hole back up. Ack. And like the 14-year old you are (regardless of personality), you couldn't resist to swap some of the weapon's orders around. COMPLETELY out of metal from that failed armory patching, he's forced to resort to layers of toilet paper just to patch the holes up. And the gun's still jammed, you oof. Atleast his helipad cleaning went smooth sailing. For being very considerate on clearing the bunker and keeping its safety (+3), patching AND sorting (+2), using a manual AND going straight to hole-patching (+2), plus rock salt whilst melt-plowing (+2), the otherwise-measly 17 points become 26 points! RE: The Aurora Project - Day 2: Death of a Disaster - Kennifer - 11-06-2021 Holly will make sure the salad doesn't actually have any of the beef in it (do I have to roll for picking at food lmao), then it's omnomnom time. RE: The Aurora Project - Day 2: Death of a Disaster - Cassie - 11-06-2021 (OOC: omfg no no actions are rolled regardless of whatever the fuck you're doing lol) RE: The Aurora Project - Day 2: Death of a Disaster - PointMaid - 11-06-2021 Ooh! That sure is a wide variety of mushrooms. Should be enough for a few meals. Anyone else want some? Ruby goes to > Sautee those mushrooms RE: The Aurora Project - Day 2: Death of a Disaster - Kennifer - 11-06-2021 "I'd like some mushrooms, thank you." RE: The Aurora Project - Day 2: Death of a Disaster - PointMaid - 11-06-2021 Of course! ...Um. Did you say you're strictly vegan? Because what I found to do the sauteeing with is butter. RE: The Aurora Project - Day 2: Death of a Disaster - Kennifer - 11-06-2021 "No, just vegetarian. I don't eat eggs often but I don't have an issue with dairy. I just don't eat any animal flesh. Butter's fine." RE: The Aurora Project - Day 2: Death of a Disaster - Oggy123 - 11-06-2021 Nintendo then eats some of the biscuits. "Not bad" he thought. He turns towards Ruby. "You're making mushrooms? I like mushrooms; reminds me of old times. Can i have some?" RE: The Aurora Project - Day 2: Death of a Disaster - PointMaid - 11-06-2021 Oh, good! Yeah. That works, then. And, sure, Kirby, you can have some too! RE: The Aurora Project - Day 2: Death of a Disaster - Caret - 11-06-2021 "I-I'll also take some mushrooms, please. Anything to distract from that fact that I had a near-death experience would help right now..." Bow says, still clinging tightly onto Sherry. Mostly because she hasn't bothered asking Sherry to stop hugging her. This is calming to the frightened Sylveon. RE: The Aurora Project - Day 2: Death of a Disaster - KungFuCutbug - 11-06-2021 [Sherry doesn't seem like she intends to let go of Bow any time soon, either. Matter of fact, she looks just as deathly terrified as Bow does, and she wasn't even the one who nearly got shot. Do guns just... mess her up that bad? Wonder why... ...Also, damn. For a human stick whose arm's gotten hurt twice over the course of the project so far, she's got some strength. Not enough to crush Bow by any means, but... that's one tight hug.] RE: The Aurora Project - Day 2: Death of a Disaster - PointMaid - 11-06-2021 Ruby nods, and serves up plates of the mushrooms... hopefully she cooked it right. Hopefully. RE: The Aurora Project - Day 2: Death of a Disaster - Kennifer - 11-06-2021 "Thank you." Holly's finished her salad by now, and starts in on eating the mushrooms. She was hungrier than she'd realized she was. RE: The Aurora Project - Day 2: Death of a Disaster - Caret - 11-06-2021 "Thank you. I'll chow down once I let go of Sherry, but for now... let me just calm down some more. Don't want to sulk for too long." Bow looks significantly less mortally frightened than she was a few hours earlier, but a firm feeling of panic is still pulsing through her feelers. Having almost engineered her own demise with a metal weapon – her fatal weakness – feels utterly mortifying to the poor Sylveon. At least someone is willing to comfort the usual bringer of comfort, even if the hug was initially uninvited. The hug could have been a bit less tight, but Bow doesn't really care right now. RE: The Aurora Project - Day 2: Death of a Disaster - Zanreo - 11-06-2021 Oh bother, looks like the bunkers’ fallen open and stuffed to the brim with snow. We'll need to get that out. - MELT THE HELL OUT OF IT with your flame guns, just be careful not to burn anything and make sure the water actually gets out The armory...hoo boy, what a mess! All the damn weaponry and supplies placed there are scattered all over and there's a hole in the building's wall. (Some snowball that slammed it, huh?) Would like the stuff to be put back in place, and the hole be patched up. - Uh, just shove whatever you can find that doesn't seem to be used into/over the hole to cover it up. Then, well, put everything back into place! The firing mechanism of our gun and missile turrets sadly seem to be jammed, not to mention the fallen-off protective covering. Wouldn't it be nice if it were unjammed and repatched? - Find some more protective covering (in storage? armory?) or anything equivalent, and use that. Then, use some kind of tool and try unjamming it? Man these old guns are hard And the helipad's so deep in the snow you can't tell it's there! Wipe all that snow off, will ya? - MELT THE HELL out of it, again. Of coursem try not to burn it as much as you would have liked to RE: The Aurora Project - Day 2: Death of a Disaster - Oggy123 - 11-07-2021 Nintendo eats some of the mushrooms as well. "Yummy!" RE: The Aurora Project - Day 2: Death of a Disaster - Cassie - 11-07-2021 (11-06-2021, 23:08:26 PM)Zanreo Wrote: Oh bother, looks like the bunkers’ fallen open and stuffed to the brim with snow. We'll need to get that out. KMIY roll 5, 9, 1, and 4, yielding a total of 19 points. The water starts spilling rapidly, given that you decided to just arson it. Good thing they all evaporate before they wash you out in an improvised tsunami. The hell is this material you randomly foundSome freak clay? ? Oh hey! It's pretty malleable, and it even hardens with rapid heating done by the arson you two like to do! Sweet! And you get all the stuff neatly reorganised! The metal sheets you found melt and scorch your skin when you try to perform arson (once again) to weld it on. Fuck. And the tool gets into the turret and just...oh man it just jams it more. Fuck. Fuck. This happens for EVERY turret, forcing you to fix it twice. Bluh...why is it so slow in melting? Did the arson wore off of you two after what happened previously? At least there's only tiny burn marks on the helipad. For going straight to melting the snow without any digging (-2), nonspecific object patching (0), actually trying to patch and unjam the turrets straight away (+1), and heating the snow to clear it (+1), KMIY get...19 points! |
