Yep. Hitomi was a zombie before she got turned into a cat toy by a ferocious saber-tooth tiger, Blaine responded to X. This of course happened before you arrived. Shame you missed it. It was quite a good show.

Charles took the place of... someone. Komaru, who was bitten.It's possible Komaru passed the disease to Charles, if she had it when she... left.
If she was infected, I hope the vessel she was on crashes into the ocean and sinks to the bottom.
But the other two unaccompanied are self-evident.

Well... If memory serves, the footprints were vaguely similar to Hitomi's.
Unfortunately, that doesn't narrow it down much.
Everyone suspected happens to look pretty much the same.
And evidence which would implicate Mr. Calvin would instead be implicating Komaru, who looks the same.

Sayaka was about to suggest that she and Komaru compare their footprints to the ones found at the crime scene, but that's not possible now that Komaru is... gone. She starts to feel rather annoyed that Komaru just... dipped the moment people started suspecting her.
