She's a girl, not a guy, but it's okay, you're still new here. But anyway, the last night, she was drowned at the studio back when the steamboat set was flooded up! She couldn't hold her breath long enough! Or have scuba equipment! But we still have the time portal set-up if you all like to go back yesterday and explore!

And Mincer does know that's the basic structure of a murdergame. But he's not going to say that out loud; he doesn't want to break the fourth-wall, so he has his narrator to do it for him.

He is obviously joking, considering these hosts are quite ruthless, but he chuckles to himself at the thought of saving Haruhi with such a thing. You think Sherlock Holmes would be like "Elementary, my dear Watson!, Mincer says with a derby hat and pipe appearing out of nowhere. We have a murder to solve, but let's discuss the logistics of time travel rather than finding out who the killer is! Brilliant detective work, guys!, he roasts them. Not literally, figuratively. But he would sure love to literally roast them right now. Then he turns his attention to the Lockhorns right as the hat and pipe disappear.
And as for you two! You two are some of the funniest people I've ever met! An old, jaded married couple just trading barbs with each other and some of the other people is hilarious! People love their comedy duos! First we have Lotta and Bitta and now you two! You'll both be the biggest stars we've had in a while! You'll both be rich and famous, your faces everywhere! Here, now, all you have to do is sign. The studio's standard contract appears. It's lengthy and goes off into the distance. The writing gets smaller and smaller as it does. This contract is denser than Leroy. I'm calling our lawyer, from King Features. We can work something out, but I'm not signing that until our lawyer has looked at it.
Leroy stops arguing with people on reddit over cryptocurrency for long enough to call the Lockhorns Lawyer to help negotiate the contract.
