The smoke is clearly coming from Amy's room.

There are scorch marks around the room and... on your bedding right next to where you were sleeping. It's like some kinda force field kept you safe.
There are also some fairly indistinct footprints. They *look* pretty human and about medium human size. Pretty much.

You look in Amy's room, and the answer is obvious. Blast marks stain the wall, as if from a beam or laser of some sort. Amy's bed seems untouched.
Oh course it's untouched. My facilities only have the highest-grade force field technology.

...You can tell they don't go to one of the bedrooms that have been publicly claimed by somebody. That's room 1, 2, 5, 7 or 8, claimed by Gwyneth Paltrow, Helena, Kaworu, Amy, or yourself, respectively. (...Well, they're coming to and FROM Amy's room, but they don't seem to originate there)

...You try to get the scent of the singed items in Amy's room first to compare, but you inhale a little too much and now everything you smell smells like smoke.
