I think we're grasping at straws here, but perhaps there's more to this case. I still suspect Libre did it, or at the very least, is involved, and all of this is a misdirection to make him seem unsuspicious by virtue of having been "framed" though. I really don't know what further straws there are to grasp at, though.
Big Ben investigates nothing in particular, for, as stated, not only does he see no reason to continue, he sees no further things to investigate.
