You can have some of mine. I should be ravenous, but I think all that work has drained me of most of my appetite instead. I don't expect you want the fish - I think you insinuated you're a vegetarian? - but maybe some of the dandelion greens.

1. Look around the forest and find a place to make shelter for us. Use whatever equipment you have and make something. Or find something you can use to improvise. It can be from the various planks of wood around. Can be from the trees, or you can kill a few of the animals here. Whatever, just come up with something and make sure everything is all sturdy.
... Okay. Idea... Um... Trees? ... No wait, considering Delilah's whole thing... Eh. Wait... What if... both... Okay. Um... Use whatever wood we can get from the trees, make some... makeshift mortar from mud? And then line it with leaves or stones... Yeah, stones! Easy wood house that's ALSO Fireproof! I think.
2. Search the area for some food. You can find berries or any kinds of fruit here. Just be careful you don't get any poison. Or you can can fish and hunt for something. Just make sure there's enough for everyone here.
... Hm. Okay. Um... Traps? No... there's the chance we could be trapped instead... Um... How do we... Um... Okay. Idea. Leave some berries or fruits out as traps... Ideally, the poisonous ones so we can use those... That way, even if the trap itself doesn't work... the poison hopefully works. so we have a second chance at getting food even if the trap fails! In theory.
3. Find a way to keep yourselves warm at night. A fire or something makeshift that you find outside. Make some kind of covers or whatever. It's important to be secure, fed and warm during the night.
Um... Okay. Idea. Kill some bears... no wait. Um... Fur coats? ... We don't have the skills to make that sanitary, so... wait. Um... Okay. Leaves. Those... wait. Um. What if we went ahead and made/gathered some fur... and then used said fur, along with a few leaves to... make it easier to wear? ... Okay. Definitely wash the fur before applying the leaf coat in there, too.. Sanitation and all.

Alrighty, let's . . Try our best with this canine body.

1. Well. Crow doubt a tent could be made 'round here, so. . He'll settle with a small, but workable hut/whatever-you-call-those-tents-made-out-of-branches.
2. This. Shouldn't be too hard. Just try and find a wild animal or something using Dog Senses(insert trademark joke here).
3. Either use any left-over branches from the shelter-making process or find some more, and then try to start a fire by utilising good ol' friction. Said friction could be done with sticks or rocks, whichever he finds first.

You dust off a little bit of it. It's not that much though.

All right, first things first. We all need to work together if we're all going to stay alive. I appreciate the efforts you've made in finding some food or shelter so far. But we need to unite together as a group and look after each other. We need to supply food and shelter for all of us. Find enough for us to get through this entire thing. I've browsed the entire area and if you're all willing to make it work, we should have enough to get us through the ordeal. And whoever does the best, I'll look after for the night.

Gene pulls out a hunting knife from his shoe.

Don't worry, it's for protection should anyone try something.

YOU ALL HAVE UNTIL JUNE 23 AT 6 PM CST TO COMPLETE THE CHALLENGE.

Susan's Plan
1. Find a large amount of thick branches and leaves, arrange the branches in a cone shape and use the leaves to patch holes.
2. Forage for some non-toxic berries and herbs.
3. Gather a bundle of smaller sticks and leaves, and use eyeglasses to try and direct a beam of sunlight into the pile.

1. It doesn't go well for you. Some of those branches are a little too heavy. You try to pull them around, but you just strain your muscles badly. And as you gather leaves, the wind decides to blow them away and you can't get them on time. (Rolled 4 and 1- for lack of strength for a total of 3)

2. You decide to gather all the berries and herbs you can find. You are in such a rush you grab everything you can find. When you bring everything back, you didn't think "should I have looked through them and tell if they're poison?" So you spend some time sorting through them all. It takes up a lot of your time actually. After what feels like forever, you finally managed to sort out the good ones from the bad ones. But you really should have checked earlier otherwise you wouldn't have needed to waste all that time. (10 and 1+ for plant toxicity knowledge for a scale-breaking 11)

3. Despite your failure to grab the leaves earlier, you try again, hoping it will go much better to start a fire. And it does. The sticks you find thankfully aren't that heavy for you to carry. And you use the light to start the fire with your glasses. Things go without incident. (Rolled 7)

SUSAN OLIVER SLAUGHTER HAS SCORED A TOTAL OF 21 POINTS.

1. It actually takes you quite a bit of time to put all this together. You had to find the right wood to use for this. And look for some certain leaves or stones that would work. And it takes you quite a bit of the to make the mud mortar. Despite chewing up the time, you do manage to get everything together in the end. (Rolled 5)

2. The poisonous berries work pretty well. The animals eat it and keel over dead and now you got a nice source of meat. And surprisingly enough, you don't have to worry about the poison lingering inside the body that could affect the meat. It's all safe to eat. Probably. (Rolled 7)

3. From your hammerspace, you bring out some cleaner that you use to get the fur/leaving clothing on. You manage to get it decently clean and it's all wearable. You should be set. (Rolled 5 and 1+ for hamemrspace for a total of 6)

NAOMI SAKURAI HAS SCORED A TOTAL OF 18 POINTS.

2. But it is hard. You try to smell around and find an animal. But looks like none are nearby. You do see one and you go after it, but it just quickly runs away from you and you can't catch up. (Rolled 3)

3. You use your smarts and quickly create a fire with both the rocks and sticks. But you went way overboard with it and you create a raging inferno that quickly gets out of control. Thinking quickly, you gather some river water and put it out before a forest fire starts. (Rolled 9 and 1+ for intelligence for a total of 10)

All right. I've been watching all of you. I know some of you struggled and for a couple, things went horribly wrong. But still, good effort for you all. But looking at you closely, I think the best outdoor survivalist this day is CATS. Good work. I'll stand by you and guard you for the night. I will make sure nothing bad happens to you.

NIGHT PHASE WILL START AT 9 PM CST

You do manage to clean up yourself with no issues, though you should have probably brought some soap with you.

RE: Witch Trip - TenOfSwords13 - 06-23-2022

Jimothy relaxes in his tent.

Ah, this is like a home away from home. That home in question being Bigtown, and not a distant planet, because I am a human. I doubt homes need this much blood, but I am certain that my human self can adapt to this.

RE: Witch Trip - PointMaid - 06-23-2022

You live in the city, then? Yeah, I'm not much of a country girl myself.

...Which city? I assume by Bigtown you mean a city. Sorry. I'm guessing English isn't your first language.

RE: Witch Trip - TenOfSwords13 - 06-23-2022

Oh, my city is called Bigtown. It is not too well known, which would explain your confusion, and it is not in the United States of America. It is in Canada.

RE: Witch Trip - Mr. Lee Hammer - 06-23-2022

>find a rock to use as a pillow (Susan)

You really should have watched what you used. That's a wasp nest. And now you got several angry wasps coming after you.

RE: Witch Trip - PointMaid - 06-23-2022

...Right. Bigtown, Canada. Guess your family is probably Francophone.

Taira would've checked it on her phone, but it blew up and there's no service.

RE: Witch Trip - TenOfSwords13 - 06-23-2022

Yes, my family is francophone. And that is how I was raised as a human child.

Note to self- find out what "francophone" means

RE: Witch Trip - Florien - 06-23-2022

Killing nature is hardly abusing it, I say. It's not like you stop being part of nature when you have a mind, a sword, and a plow. You're just making new, different nature that supports YOUR DARK ETERNAL GOVERNANCE!

Lukanios assumes the generic "dark lord" pose, meanwhile, Fentiriss sputters an incoherent add-on response through a bleeding mouth while lying on the ground. It seems Lukanios won their fight.

Also, Francophone? I still don't get your languages. You let them diverge too much. You should fix that if you get out of here.

RE: Witch Trip - Zanreo - 06-23-2022

CATS is still proud of his achievements. "Haha, yes! A winner is me!"

RE: Witch Trip - Despair's Archon of Memes - 06-23-2022

Congrats to that feline-named cyborg dude or something!

... France... Canada... Huh. Only places I've ever been to are... Japan... some fantastical feudal place... and... I THINK somewhere in America? ... My memory's a bit hazy...

Naomi's sleeves suddenly slip out... what seems to be... an album?

... All... That... We... Needed? ... How did this get here?

RE: Witch Trip - PopcornPie - 06-23-2022

Quinarva puffed up, then relaxed and sighed. She'd expended her rage for the day on Agatha, and probably would again tomorrow. "I suppose it's easy for a mortal malaka to think that way. In case you haven't finally pieced it together, I'm a nymph, a nature spirit. Nature spirits must have a better bond and respect for nature than a mortal, because, in a way, this forest is my parent. I've never needed a plow and I don't intend to start using one just because of our situation. If I do, nature will decide I'm unworthy of its harmony, and you won't want to see what it does to spirits it's come to hate. It's about sanctity, not about me being too weak to use a sword."

RE: Witch Trip - PointMaid - 06-23-2022

Taira doesn't appear to believe Quinarva, but she's not going to say anything about it. If someone wants to think of themself as a nature spirit, that and any consequences are on them, as far as she's concerned.

RE: Witch Trip - Florien - 06-23-2022

You ever see a city spirit? A wheatfield spirt? They exist too you know. Vels, even farmed tree spirits. Nature just IS. It's not antithetical to cities, else it would have risen up against the termites and the ants. It's not antithetical to changers of the environment, else it would have risen up against plants. There's this concept that somehow plows are not natural. If plows are not natural, then anthills and the domesticated fungus within some of their hills is just as falsewoven.

Gfffughnnigvelshielvstrithrtsss

If "nature" is treating you so badly, holding you hostage, that doesn't sound entirely healthy. Make like Iryvanach the Forester and MAKE IT UNDERSTAND ITS OWN METANATURE! You sorts talk of respecting nature, but you would separate life and its products from nature in category? Sanctity. Harmony. These are words used by Cultists and Ezrezanians respectively. You undermine your own argument. If you believe city biomes and farmland are so separate from nature, then stand in one and take your revenge against "nature" for controlling your life in such a way! You've lived centuries, but as a puppet of nature! Who chose nature to be their ruler? NO ONE! Nature as you describe it is deeply Anti-Kyronic. So HANG NATURE IF THAT IS WHAT IT IS!

Shtupplislukianhlpfxmybliiidng.
Fentiriss is muffled, holding her hand over her bleeding mouth. Meanwhile, Lukanios dramatically points at Taira, ignoring whatever Fentiriss is saying.

You! Taira! You're theoretically almost sane! Agree with me on where the border of nature is!
