Inspect the stab wound. [2]: Oh god the body is still warm oh ew ew ew ew why did you touch it now you have blood on your hands.

Look for another way in. [7]: There's a sewer worker lying dead here with their name tag still on. You feel pretty safe in guessing that the killer could have got into block 7 by travelling underground through the sewer. There might be other ways, but you can't immediately think of them.

Track down the sewer worker's boss or department. [3]: You remember that the Spymaster said you'd fail if you walked outside of the nine blocks, and the city works department certainly doesn't have a headquarters anywhere within them.

The former definitely seemed to be the case here, at least. But was there a pattern with the victims? She wasn't sure yet, she'd have to go through the archives and such again.

Good idea, Terezi. I'll help. Not to be blunr, but you might need it.

> Help read newspaper archives again for any patterns you can turn up

Not a problem. I still want to figure out what he was working on... maybe I can find a number for the public works office after this.

Snap wakes up, feeling better, but still down.

> Follow another “spy” until you get to whatever we're supposed to be looking at today.

RE: Free Association: Part One. Day 2: "Raised Questions" - Florien - 09-11-2021

Patterns in the newspaper! [1]: Here's a pattern! It's the Sudoku puzzle. You do that instead of being productive.

Follow someone and get there. [2]: You were already at the scene, but you follow a random person and end up in the park instead.

"Agh, gross! Gotta go wash my hands... ne right back!"

>go back to room/building, wash hands and return

*be, not ne

RE: Free Association: Part One. Day 2: "Raised Questions" - Florien - 09-11-2021

Be CLEANSED [7]: The blood on your hands is only metaphorical blood now.

RE: Free Association: Part One. Day 2: "Raised Questions" - PointMaid - 09-11-2021

And 6 in the center... um. I probably shouldn't be doing Sudoku, should I?

> Try to get your head in the right mindset looking for actual patterns in the victims, where they were found, and the way they were killed

RE: Free Association: Part One. Day 2: "Raised Questions" - Florien - 09-11-2021

Get ready to THINK [5]: You're ready to think about patterns now. You haven't started, but you're certainly ready.

RE: Free Association: Part One. Day 2: "Raised Questions" - Kennifer - 09-11-2021

>Help with the (literal) sniffing out of patterns in the victims.

RE: Free Association: Part One. Day 2: "Raised Questions" - TalesofUnder - 09-11-2021

Meh. I'm not a police officer. Why should I help?

RE: Free Association: Part One. Day 2: "Raised Questions" - Florien - 09-11-2021

Patterns! [8]: You discern that victims 1-6, 8-9, 11-18, 20, and 22 were all killed in the early morning. Victims #7, #10, and #19 were all killed some time late at night, and #21 was killed pretty much at the start of the night.

Mr... Wario, is it? If you'd like to fail the test YOU signed up for and not earn the sizeable spy paycheck, that's up to you. Of course, I remind you that if you get away with killing one of the other prospects, that also grants you graduation. In fact, I remind everybody that, in case you had forgotten or simply not heard.

Not a pattern between the victims chosen, but Terezi still found it interesting. Certain hours to observe, maybe?

Wood Man goes to Block 7 to investigate and...

>look for any out-of-place elements or things in the crime scene

RE: Free Association: Part One. Day 2: "Raised Questions" - PointMaid - 09-11-2021

...I'm not sure how you figured that out, by smelling, but I'm impressed.

The public works, though...

> Try to find the number of the public works and give them a call. Ask for the boss, and why they had a worker in the Catkin so early in the day?

RE: Free Association: Part One. Day 2: "Raised Questions" - Zanreo - 09-11-2021

"Hm... any reason for the numbering of the victims? Is this about who was attacked first, or... because it doesn't seem to be in the order they died

Look for strange things. [2]: Well, there's a dead body, that's strange.

Find the public works number and ask about the guy. [6]: Something about reports of a fatberg. They claim to be dealing with it.

RE: Free Association: Part One. Day 2: "Raised Questions" - PointMaid - 09-11-2021

Ew, a fatberg. Gross... but I'm not sure it helps.

"Ah jeez, I'm running late." Seven said after waking up.

>Head to block 7 and investigate immidiately.

... It might be based on chronological order on when the bodies were FOUND... Or by block building residence... I'm just spitballing here.

RE: Free Association: Part One. Day 2: "Raised Questions" - Florien - 09-11-2021

Investigate the scene [6]: It's still wet. Bloodwise and from whatever cleaning was done after the fact. All in all the scene is markedly similar to yesterday's... except something seems different. You're not sure what though immediately.

Meanwhile, Seko butts into the conversation about death order.

Hey, hold on there, what do you mean it doesn't look like the numbers follow the order of death? The numbers are #1 through #22, and there's been 22 victims, one turning up each morning. I don't see where you're getting the idea that the numbers are out of order.
