RE: Your Final Frontier - Mr. Lee Hammer - 02-17-2021 Ahh, I know what this is! A car battery.... and I remember reading about this one. It got discontinued because it acted more like a capacitor than a battery. Gary searches around and inside the radio tower for wires and clamps and finds none. Shit! There's got to be something here.... > Search rest of the island for wires and clamps RE: Your Final Frontier - MadameButterflyKnife - 02-17-2021 Examining the bar, Cool Sendri finds that a large amount of one specific drink was made by the automatic drink mixer, between the party last night and now. An Icy Star: two shots of vodka, a fuckton of currentcorn syrup, and distilled water. That sounded disgusting, but also weirdly intriguing. Cool Sendri made a note to themselves to try it later. Hmmmm...the cups had to be somewhere, right? >search for the cups that the Icy Stars were in, and see if there's any evidence there RE: Your Final Frontier - PointMaid - 02-17-2021 ...Busey is making an unusual amount of sense for, y'know, Busey and all. Good for you, man. Turning over a new leaf. RE: Your Final Frontier - Despair's Archon of Memes - 02-17-2021 Hm... Shocked... The Radio Tower! Monaca wonders if there's anything there... Monaca does just that, and decides to... >Check the Radio Tower RE: Your Final Frontier - madface7 - 02-17-2021 2-E looks visibly uncomfortable, as seen through sweat drops on its monitor. It covers the two plates on its head and attempts to calm itself down. It starts to >search for suspicious footprints around the body. RE: Your Final Frontier - Kafkaesque - 02-17-2021 "Wario... spice... wait. I was in another of these games with Holly. So was Wario. The killer's fucking taunting me." RE: Your Final Frontier - Dookie - 02-17-2021 So two spices have already been found related to the murder....what if there's another one? >Check the body for any more spices or sauces RE: Your Final Frontier - MadameButterflyKnife - 02-17-2021 The cups were a dead end. Fuck. Cool Sendri then hears Loona mention something. "HUH, NOT-COOL-SSENDRI TOOK YOU IN TWICE WITH THE SSCIENCE GIRL AND "WARIO" TO DIE? THAT SSUCKS, FLORAN'S DUDE. SSTRANGE, HOW WOULD THEY KNOW ABOUT THAT, THOUGH?" RE: Your Final Frontier - PointMaid - 02-17-2021 I'm still thinking. The currentcorn syrup... it's from Starbound. Also has Florans. But "Not-Cool Sendri" set up this place, so, I guess that's not as much of an anomaly as I was imagining. Good to understand where that shit is coming from, though. Probably not pointing on its own to a particular person. The kind of drink might, though. RE: Your Final Frontier - madface7 - 02-17-2021 "It almost seems like we'll have to call of the search here. I - ...Model will keep looking, however." >search for the container that was used to transport the water RE: Your Final Frontier - Mr. Lee Hammer - 02-17-2021 Gary leaves the radio towers searching for the wires and clamps. Five minutes later, he finds himself at the northern part of the island, with his head spinning around. Why the hell did I drink so much yesterday? It's all gettin' to me now.... whoa!, Gary gets interrupted by his drunken ramblings as he falls face first onto the ground. What the hell..., Gary manages to look at a branch that looked unusual, nothing like the vines he's seen in jungles. He examines them closely. Well, shit, it's the cable! He makes his way down and sees the clamps attached to a car battery. Shit, shit. Oh, man., he manages to look towards the sun. Though bright as it is, and certainly not helping his hang-over, Gary manages to notice something stuck in the dirt. And here, he sees a knife, as in a fileting knife. Guys, I just hit the jackpot! Found the damn missing cable. And there's this knife. RE: Your Final Frontier - wingedcatgirl - 02-17-2021 "Loona," Mark says. "If the killer is taunting you based on your previous murdergame experience... that would suggest they have the same experience. Right? Who else here was in a murdergame before?" RE: Your Final Frontier - Dookie - 02-17-2021 "Great!...Why are we looking for a cable again?" RE: Your Final Frontier - Florien - 02-17-2021 Excellent work! Yes! Wait, what were we doing again? Lucky basstard! Floran thought it would be at leasst another hour before ssomeone found that. RE: Your Final Frontier - PointMaid - 02-17-2021 ...Although my research also suggests currentcorn has acid, which could be part of a battery for, you know, current. I'm looking at those of you who run on batteries. Selen(ium) hears Gary yelling, and goes over to >inspect that knife. Carefully, not touching it. It might have prints. RE: Your Final Frontier - Mr. Lee Hammer - 02-17-2021 > Inspect cable, clamps and battery without leaving your prints RE: Your Final Frontier - Kafkaesque - 02-17-2021 "...that's the thing. I recognise none of you people. It was just me and Holly, and we weren't even here, we were on that fuckin' game show. Who the fuck knows enough about these games to craft a kill designed to taunt me about something that happened, like, a thousand fucking light years away?" RE: Your Final Frontier - madface7 - 02-17-2021 "Model has made a discovery. A very damning one as well." "It has discovered... there was no container used to transport the water. It happened to just appear, almost out of thin air." RE: Your Final Frontier - MadameButterflyKnife - 02-17-2021 "FLORAN AGREESS, THAT'S UNPLAUSABLE AND UNTUBULAR, FLORAN'SS BROSS. ANYWAYSS, FLORAN FOUND THAT THE KILLER WAS LIKELY USSING CURRENTCORN SSYRUP TO INSSULATE THEM WHEN THEY ELECTROCUTED HOLLY. THEY SSEEMED TO HAVE EXTRACTED IT FROM A LARGE AMOUNT OF MIXED DRINKS THEY ORDERED LASST NIGHT! SSO, DUDESSKIS, THE MOSST RADICAL AND RATIONAL THING TO DO ISS FIND OUT WHO BOUGHT THOSE DRINKS!" RE: Your Final Frontier - wingedcatgirl - 02-17-2021 "Damn... knew it couldn't've been that easy. They must have a less direct connection." Mark ponders for a while. "... Hell. I don't suppose you recognize the name 'Wild Richard'?" RE: Your Final Frontier - PointMaid - 02-17-2021 Are you sure you just haven't looked hard enough? Who could do that? And... given what I said about the drink with currentcorn, I'm not super duper totally satisfied I can trust you. No offense. RE: Your Final Frontier - madface7 - 02-17-2021 "I have a question to ask Subject: Mit-eum." Model 2-E glares at Rebel. "Do your abilities contain hydromancy?" RE: Your Final Frontier - wingedcatgirl - 02-17-2021 Mark belatedly reacts to Cool Sendri's declaration. "Oh! Yeah, okay, that makes much more sense." RE: Your Final Frontier - Florien - 02-17-2021 Inspecting the Device and Knife Particularly: The device is a car battery, or rather, a capacitor that looks like it was supposed to be a car battery, some jumper cables hooking the knife to the battery, and the knife itself, chipped from cutting through bone, and the tip broken, presumably from stabbing through Holly's skull. The blood is seared on, and the "battery" is discharged. Checking the handle reveals no fingerprints, but a thick layer of that currentcorn syrup sludge with grime stuck to it. The lack of fingerprints is notable, because surely the oily syrup would have made them very obvious, if they were there.
