RE: The Great Trouble Cube Road Trip - Whistle - 03-30-2021 "I, I've had worse," Autumn says. RE: The Great Trouble Cube Road Trip - wmradar - 03-30-2021 ...uh... I was just exercising my freedom of religion? This rather less-than-convincing excuse is the first thing the bum can think of to weasel out of having to answer to Scalia's lost cousin. He spends a few seconds looking around the van. Unfortunately, the multitude of people surrounding him makes it rather hard to find the thing he's looking for. So, he reluctantly asks... Is there a typewriter in this car, perchance? RE: The Great Trouble Cube Road Trip - Mr. Lee Hammer - 03-30-2021 "I'm sure there's one around here somewhere. Just keep looking." RE: The Great Trouble Cube Road Trip - josh6243 - 03-31-2021 "You could use one of my drones as a portable computer. I think my Operating System has one of those free typing programs installed." RE: The Great Trouble Cube Road Trip - Cassie - 03-31-2021 Libre wakes up. "Alright, I'll check your drones to see if there's a Notepad or an equivalent program here." RE: The Great Trouble Cube Road Trip - josh6243 - 03-31-2021 With a smile, Commander Yammark replies, "Knock yourself out." She hands over one of her dragonfly drones to Libre after opening its chassis and attaching it to a mini projector. Essentially, Commander Yammark and her drones uses a heavily-modified Windows XP OS system. Somehow, she uses the outdated system and still functions. It's a miracle, ya know. RE: The Great Trouble Cube Road Trip - Cassie - 03-31-2021 Libre finds the Notepad program. "Alright, ya bum, here." He hands the drone over to the bum, holding it like a laptop. RE: The Great Trouble Cube Road Trip - wmradar - 03-31-2021 Oh, crackin'! The bum promptly begins typing. Day 1: Sidetracked We were coming home from Manasses, when the motel caught on fire. Next thing I knew, I woke up in a completely different van going to... ...where IS this van going? He hadn't thought of that, due to... well... circumstances. So he decides to ask the driver in the most professional way he knows how... HellomynamesWmI'maDiscordianPopeandawriterIdontreallycareaboutwherewereheadedinthelongrunbutIwouldliketoknowwhenournextstopis Some people in the van may not have caught all of that. RE: The Great Trouble Cube Road Trip - wingedcatgirl - 03-31-2021 "If I recall, we're headed to some kinda Promised Land," Sylvi says, "but don't ask me who it was promised to, hee hee hee~" RE: The Great Trouble Cube Road Trip - Zanreo - 03-31-2021 "...You're a Discord pope?" RE: The Great Trouble Cube Road Trip - josh6243 - 03-31-2021 "It's a pleasure to meet you, Wm. You can call me Leah or Commander Yammark. I really should keep a card whenever I need to introduce myself." RE: The Great Trouble Cube Road Trip - Cassie - 03-31-2021 Libre pulls out a sheet of notebook paper and a pencil from his bag, and does just that, write a card for Yammark. "Sorry if it's literally flimsy." RE: The Great Trouble Cube Road Trip - josh6243 - 03-31-2021 Grateful towards Libre, Commander Yammark exclaims, "Thank you!" As this is a generous act, maybe Yammark realizes humanity is pretty kind, even if they can be violent at times. She will cherish this card as if it were a prized possession. She will guard it as if it were a priceless jewel. She hands him an E-Tank in return. Even if the E-Tank can't be consumed by organic beings, the gift itself is meant to be symbolic of their new friendship. RE: The Great Trouble Cube Road Trip - wmradar - 03-31-2021 (03-31-2021, 15:33:32 PM)Zanreo Wrote: "...You're a Discord pope?"Discord*ian* Pope. To "explain" what he means, Wm pulls out this card (which also has a back side), and hands it to Zanreo. RE: The Great Trouble Cube Road Trip - wingedcatgirl - 03-31-2021 The cat's tail twitches. "If 'every man, woman, and child' is a Discordian Pope, does that mean non-binary adults aren't? And would that open any interesting loopholes?" RE: The Great Trouble Cube Road Trip - Mr. Lee Hammer - 03-31-2021 As Matthew drives, he hears a beeping and looks down at the dashboard. "Looks like we're running a bit low on gas." He looks upon a sign. "How convenient, a gas station/restaurant about a mile away. I'll fuel up and anyone here hungry?" RE: The Great Trouble Cube Road Trip - josh6243 - 03-31-2021 "Not really... But I've always wanted to try the Habit Burger Grill. Their burgers are amazing." RE: The Great Trouble Cube Road Trip - Cassie - 04-01-2021 "Yeah, I could take a bite." RE: The Great Trouble Cube Road Trip - Dookie - 04-01-2021 “I could take a snack. Are there are chips?” RE: The Great Trouble Cube Road Trip - josh6243 - 04-01-2021 Not hearing the sentence correctly, Commander Yammark misinterprets, "Oh. You mean those long, thin potato strips you humans enjoy? Of course, Habit has them." She's clearly talking about French Fries. Let's hope someone corrects her soon enough. RE: The Great Trouble Cube Road Trip - wmradar - 04-04-2021 I like the way you think, kitty! Wm replies to the kitty looking for loopholes in the way being a Discordian would work. But, my personal take on it is, since I can re-work the Erisean Church, I can say "adult enbies are popes too!", invoke infalliility, and excommunicate anybody who says they aren't. In the interest of fairness, I suppose someone would say that because one of the powers of being a pope is that you can do everything a pope *can't* do,, then-- Wm's train of thought is then promptly interrupted by Yammark confusing fries with chips, which causes him to stop dead in his track and stare blankly at Yammark. You're from Britain, aren't you? RE: The Great Trouble Cube Road Trip - josh6243 - 04-04-2021 Twiddling her fingers and blushing beet-red, Yammark sheepishly admits, "Well, Gate was created in England, so I learned from him about human cuisine... I still have a lot to learn about humanity." RE: The Great Trouble Cube Road Trip - Cassie - 04-04-2021 "I'd like...one burger, plus a pack of fries, and some bottled water." RE: The Great Trouble Cube Road Trip - Mr. Lee Hammer - 04-04-2021 "Well, hang on. Let's get there first, then you can order." Matthew parks the car in front of a gas station. It's something that's a bit grungy but also something that has an old-time rural charm. The restaurant is also the same thing. RE: The Great Trouble Cube Road Trip - Cassie - 04-04-2021 Libre gets out. "Yo i'm hungry." says the bobbit worm. "I'll get food for you later, Bob. I don't think they'd tolerate the sight of a bobbit worm there." |
