Unfortunately, I'm not going to be able to tell if the virus has taken over by any tests I can do. They'll look the same at this point, too. You'll have to figure it out in other ways.

You find some matches missing from storage and a can of fuel missing from the area where jeeps for getting around the island are kept. ...Oh, you tripped and sent a can of fuel flying, and with matches in your hand from storage... oh no! It's a fire!

"But fear not, for we will find the ruthless murderer who has done such a vile act and bring them to justice !" ...Overall she honestly doesn't seem that all affected, her face hasn't even changed or anything.
And then a fire happens ??? "Noooooooooooooooooo !" Her face is unchanging as she suddenly exclaims in a distorded voice. "In this time of distress, to avoid being burned, we must return to the origin of mankind, the sea !" And then she just...jumps in the sea ??? Okay Ena....if she somehow finds anything in the water then this might be the greatest stroke of accidental luck ever

It's a burned cabin? You do find there's a distinct... burn pattern which is consistent with something being trailed around or splashed around the cabin and burned. And now you've examined well enough you've got ashes on you.
