Harassment from an insecure ghost who probably is more than a little off-balance at just how much of an absolute debacle this situation is already aside, I would like to get to the point. Guy who's threatening to save us, tell us what you want this time first.
Reminds me of the time I took out the guild's emeritus archmage senior kind of. He didn't believe in the third layer vault relics being as good as we got. But yeah, a bunch of tries later, all I got was this apparently hereditary now eye problem if our younger's eyes are anything to go by, instead of dead.

As you browse around the forest, you see all these is. Plenty is alive. Lots of bushes, very leafy and old trees, lots of them have vines on them and surrounded by moss. There is plenty of ivy around the trunks. There are plenty of wildflowers around. All of it on leafy green grass. But most of what you see is dead. Quite a few dead trees, with a good number of them broken off and crashed into the ground. Lots of dead grass spots, plenty of dead flowers and herbs all spread out. There is plenty here that's both alive and dead. And as for the wood, most of it is dry. Except for anything that's fallen into the river or the lake here.

Are you really this dense? This all happened over 300 years ago, they would all be dead by now. And may I remind you this is my home? I have personally decreed those who come into this forest will die. They chose to kill me out here and in retaliation, no one here will step foot here ever again.

Yeah, don't question the vengeful ghost's motives too much. They get really touchy when you poke holes in their dubious reasoning. They're still people, after all. Usually really petty, but people. What you're going to want to do is make them miserable. Just remember, there is nothing they can do to you that is worse than what can be done to you by another person.
Unless you've been tortured in the past, in which case uhh... yeah you're going to see right through that reassurance when you realize just how mentally ruinous torture can be.

Nah, we're here now. We'll play this one out. Then mayyybe we should say this is the last one and actually try to remember how old our youngest is in their time. Or just brute-force it.

No... no... those foolish people think that finding me here and killing my physical body was enough to put an end to me for good. They were all convinced that they stopped the witch that resided in their town. No. This forest is a testament in how something like death cannot kill a witch permanently. My spirit will still live on. Still curse even without a physical form. Show those fools that I can never truly be eradicated.

It's at this moment when a ghost decides to rise from the ground and possess Larson and then proceeds to set Xue's body ablaze for several seconds. Xue can feel the sensation of being burned alive without any obvious damage to her body. After a moment, the Pokemon stops and the ghost leaves the animal.
I suggest you watch your tongue, woman. I have shielded you from suffering any permanent damage from the fire, but I can just as easily have your creature incinerate you.
