RE: Close Circle - Mr. Lee Hammer - 08-21-2021 THE REC ROOM The Rec Room is also quite exquisite, having a personal bar complete with vodka, gin, rum, bourbon, brandy, whiskey, wine, and of course, Seedy Joe Bourbon's personalized moonshine. In addition, there's a table for playing a nice game of poker, complete with cards & chips, a grand piano, and a 70-inch TV, with thousands of channels to choose from. RE: Close Circle - PointMaid - 08-21-2021 Snakeweed, not being familiar with pianos, television, or even poker, looks around in awe. RE: Close Circle - Kennifer - 08-21-2021 Kim decides to check out the rec room as well. It's gonna take a while to flip through those channels to find something she likes, probably, even with a guide. RE: Close Circle - PointMaid - 08-21-2021 Snakeweed's eyes go large, now Woah! What is that? RE: Close Circle - Kennifer - 08-21-2021 "The television? Jeez, I'm not sure how to explain how it works... uh... see, they send a moving picture from somewhere else to here and we can watch it... Or did you mean the show I'm watching? Because I'm not entirely sure either, I've never watched this one before." ...what was she watching, anyway? Some kind of violent action movie, by the looks of it. Whatever was on when she gave up on finding something using the on-screen guide or flipping through the channels. RE: Close Circle - PointMaid - 08-21-2021 ...Te-le-vi-sion. She doesn't seem to care what is actually on the screen. RE: Close Circle - Kennifer - 08-21-2021 "Pretty cool, isn't it? Guessing they don't have much technology where you're from. RE: Close Circle - Cassie - 08-21-2021 Shittly played piano music can be heard. WTF Yukichi. RE: Close Circle - PointMaid - 08-21-2021 ...Flour mills, blacksmithing for things like silverware and plows. Not anything like that. Not sure even the elves have something like that. I'd have to ask. RE: Close Circle - Kennifer - 08-21-2021 "That's pretty neat though, I'd like to see a real blacksmith in action sometime!" Kim is... trying to tune out (ha ha) the piano music. RE: Close Circle - PointMaid - 08-21-2021 It's a loud process... Her eyes are glancing at Yukichi, implying that the piano music is also loud. And perhaps dissonant. RE: Close Circle - Mr. Lee Hammer - 08-21-2021 (For the challenges, state what your character will do within each of the five steps I laid out in the thread. All the actions taken for each step will be rolled by RNG 1-10 determining the success of the character. All the numbers will be added up and will be ranked. The one with the highest points will win the biggest cash prize and will receive immunity for the night. Do note that if you don't participate within the deadline, you will not receive any cash prizes.) Mikhail Sidorov has raided one of my warehouse and stole a lot of my weapons I have stashed away. He's on of the top guys in the Russian Mafia. And he's a cocky son-of-a-bitch too. Thinking I'm some low-rent gangster to be pushed around! Well, with my new associates, I'm about to show 'em all they're making a mistake trying to tango with Carmelo Bianchi! Here's what I want you to do: 1. I still have some decent weaponry in the storage room. Arm yourself with the best weapons you can find. 2. Head up to Little Russia and search for Sidorov. 3. Deal with Sidorov permanently. 4. Send a message to the Russian Mafia that they're making a big mistake messing with me! 5. Recover the stolen weapons and bring them back to my warehouses in Santa Castillo. DEADLINE IS MONDAY, AUGUST 23RD AT 6PM CST RE: Close Circle - wingedcatgirl - 08-21-2021 1. Arm yourself with the best weapons you can find.
Loren rifles through the weapons in storage. Sure, she could kill the target without them, but roasting him in a jet of blue flame might be a tad conspicuous. "Is there a hang glider in here?" she asks. "I've got ideas..." But I'll go ahead and roll this step.) Thankfully, there is a hand glider in the storage room, ready for you to go in your plan. (Rolled a 10) RE: Close Circle - PointMaid - 08-21-2021 Snakeweed gets down to business... to defeat... the Russians. 1. I still have some decent weaponry in the storage room. Arm yourself with the best weapons you can find. A dagger that's the right size for a sword for her would be clutch. It's ok if it doesn't light up when it detects... um, baddies, since she's not going against Orcs. She'll hide it under her cloak. 2. Head up to Little Russia and search for Sidorov. Is there a horse and cart around here? Hopefully. Otherwise, she's going to have to leg it. She's done that before. Sturdier than she looks. Lurk around the Russian bars, order some vodka to loosen lips (maybe spread around some pipeweed cookies to also loosen lips?), and listen for the name 'Sidorov'. 3. Deal with Sidorov permanently. Tell him you have a business proposition to get him alone. Rely on his underestimating you to get him to let his guard down. When he has his back turned, slash the back of his knees with the dagger, forcing him to kneel down, then cut his throat. 4. Send a message to the Russian Mafia that they're making a big mistake messing with me! Carve "Don't bite off more than you can chew, or steal from another man's plate. Or you'll become a piggy." into Sidorov's flesh. Probably his stomach. 5. Recover the stolen weapons and bring them back to my warehouses in Santa Castillo. Get the location of the weapons from his files in the office where you were meeeting if it's not obvious where they are. Grab 'em, put them into the horse cart or bag them up into a satchel to tote if you have to, and haul them back. Snakeweed's actions have been rolled 6, 7, 6, 9 and 3, for a total of 31 points. 1. Thankfully you find yourself a dagger that's suitable for the job and undetectable enough for the job. 2. You manage to find a horse carriage around a park that the driver left unattended. Should have kept watching your horses, pal! You take off on it and at the bar, you do happen to overhear a conversation mentioning where Sidorov would be and you head off to find him. 3. You manage to get Sidorov alone to arrange some "business" with him. But once you attempt to go for the kill, he turns his back and sees you and tries to fight back. Luckily, you're more than a match for him and get him on his knees and cut open his throat. Don't underestimate a Hobbit. 4. Later on, the Russians find his corpse, with the words you carved into him. They are all scared shitless, giving the Russian Mafia a very good reason to fear you. They don't know you did it, but you better believe they got the message. 5. You get the locations of the weapons. Unfortunately, as you load them up, the carriage collapse and you had to back them up and take some of them up on foot. You weren't able to attain them all however as some manage to take the weapons for themselves while you were away. But you do at least manage to salvage some of the weapons. Loren shifts dragon for just a second to pick up the hang glider, then returns to her half-elf form, vehicle safely tucked away. Dragon shapeshifting is ridiculously convenient. She then finishes her shopping trip by looking for A Gun™ as well as as many containers as she can hold. She holsters the gun, and starts sketching out a plan. ... Think I'm gonna need a fifth form for this, Loren thinks. Something approximately humanoid and medium-ish sized. She glances around at her colleagues, eyes finally settling on Chili Pepper Cookie. ... Sure. That'll work. Cookie. She shifts into a jet-blue... dragonfruit cookie, huh? On the nose, but all right. She briefly shifts back to half-elf, picks up all the gear, and returns to cookie, gear tucked away. ... Almost as an afterthought, she retrieves Another Gun™ and equips that to her new cookie form too. She revises her plan as necessary for her new ability, and eventually comes up with the following: 2. Head up to Little Russia and search for Sidorov.
Step 1: Basic research! Look at a map and locate Little Russia. Also look up what Sidorov looks like. Also look into more details about things Sidorov's crew is doing to ours. Step 2: Find a nice open space. Step 3: Retrieve the glider, attach it to the cookie form, use hummingbird and dragon forms to shiftslip a mile or two into the air, return to cookie form and glide. Dragon shapeshifting is ridiculously useful. Step 4: Glide to Little Russia and start searching for Sidorov from the air, shiftslipping up for some more height if/when necessary. 3. Deal with Sidorov permanently.
Plan A: If Sidorov is outside, shoot him. With A Gun™. Plan Not-A: Yeah okay he's probably not outside. People don't go outside much these days. Find a safe spot to reorganize her gear - most stuff will be tucked away in dragon form, and both guns will be equipped to the cookie form. Figure out where her target is hiding. Plan B: Is the place low-security? Just walk the fuck in as a seemingly unarmed half-elf. Find him. Shift cookie. Shoot him. With Two Guns™. Shift otter and/or hummingbird to escape the building. Avoid shifting dragon except as a very last resort, it'll risk losing all her gear. (Better that than losing a form, but still. Not something she wants happening.) Make sure to do not leave the hang glider behind, she's going to use it later - tuck it away in the half-elf or cookie form, whichever works out best. Plan C: Maybe the place is high-security? Wouldn't be surprised. Find a safe spot to tuck the hang glider into the dragon form. Shift otter and/or hummingbird to get in. Infiltrate the place through the vents. Shoot him. With A Gun™. Escape the same way as in plan B. 4. Send a message to the Russian Mafia that they're making a big mistake messing with me!
Seek out anything and everything Sidorov and his crew have gained for acting against us. Set aside anything she can bring back as spoils of war. Shift dragon, drop all her gear in the loot pile, tear the rest to bits with teeth and claws, set the ruins on fire. 5. Recover the stolen weapons and bring them back to my warehouses in Santa Castillo.
Fill the containers she brought with anything that isn't already in containers. Tuck everything, her own containers and the existing ones, away in the cookie form. Plus as much as she can fit into the otter form. Retrieve the hang-glider and attach it to the half-elf form. Leave Little Russia the same way she got here. RE: Close Circle - Weirdguy149 - 08-21-2021 1. Arm yourself with the best weapons you can find. First, find a sniper rifle. If there are none, go for a handgun with a silencer attached. 2. Head up to Little Russia and search for Sidorov. Hitch a ride on a taxi to outside his headquarters. If you have the sniper rifle, go onto the rooftop of the nearest tall building. If not, pretend to be a janitor and infiltrate the building until you can get to the man himself. 3. Deal with Sidorov permanently. If you have the sniper rifle, wait for him to approach the window then fire. If there are any henchmen with him, kill them as well. If you don't have the sniper rifle, fire at him while his back is turned then walk out like nothing happened. 4. Send a message to the Russian Mafia that they're making a big mistake messing with me! If you used the sniper rifle, shoot at some more higher-ranking guys then get the hell out of dodge. If you didn't, leave behind a calling card of Bianchi's face. 5. Recover the stolen weapons and bring them back to my warehouses in Santa Castillo. Pick up the weapons in the chaos of the moment then commandeer a taxi and drive back to the mansion. You manage to secure a hang-glider and you manage to secure plenty of containers. And the guns you find are both bazookas. They should get the job done all right… a little too well, but it will get it done nonetheless. And with the gathering of the glider, the containers and the bazookas, you set off in your new Cookie form. 2. You do manage to do all right with your research. You see what Sidorov looks like and you do learn that the Russian Mafia are planning to start a war with Carmello and his empire. You don't learn anything else other than that. Still you set off in your glider into Little Russia and do manage to find Sidorov. 3. You see that he is indeed heavily guarded, so yeah, plan C it is. You fly through the vents in your hummingbird form while struggling a bit to get the bazooka in. And you fire it at Sidorov. It doesn't hit him directly, just missing by a bit, but the shrapnel does end up hitting him, causing him to be fatally wounded and he eventually dies of his wounds. So you did at least get the job done, even if it wasn't pretty. 4. You manage to secure the weapons and keep them in a safe place for later on. And you do find all the plans that the Russians were planning to start the war with. You can see that they plan to go head on and overwhelm Carmello and his guys. Several foolproof plans that no doubt took a long time to prepare, along with some master planners here. But you manage to tear all of it up. You chew up the plans where it's indecipherable and you claw the planners to death, along some of the surviving guards. And you cause a huge fire that sets the building ablaze and it collapse into a nice, rubble mess. You have indeed cause a huge dent in their plans, no doubt having to make them start all over again. Great work! 5. Unfortunately for you, as you were tearing shit up, one of the guards did call for back-up before he got slashed to death by you. As you try to secure the weapons in the containers, you find several angry Russians surrounding you. They come at you, guns a-blazing. They all quickly recover the weapons before you have the chance to take them and they end up shooting the glider all to hell. The only way you can escape is by turning into your dragon form and you get the hell out of Little Russia, but just barely making it out alive. RE: Close Circle - KungFuCutbug - 08-21-2021 [Oh, good. Finally, something for Pizzabug to do to take their mind off of... well, y'know.] 1. I still have some decent weaponry in the storage room. Arm yourself with the best weapons you can find.
>like Loren, you don't necessarily need these, but it might give you away if you use your cosplays to eliminate him, so... is there an axe? you don't particularly care that it's not very practical, you just like axes. grab a gun, too, preferably an automatic one where you could just hold the trigger and riddle an unfortunate soul with bullets2. Head up to Little Russia and search for Sidorov.
>first, look up where Little Russia is, what Sidorov looks like, and where his base is located. (can't deal with him if you don't know who you're dealing with.) then, change into a cosplay of Revali from Zelda BotW, use Revali's Gale to launch yourself into the air, and seek out his base from above, high enough that nobody can see you and get suspicious of you but low enough that you can still see the people below3. Deal with Sidorov permanently.
>land near the base in a spot that doesn't have very many people near it, and sneak in using a cosplay of Vivian from Paper Mario to merge with the shadows and become invisible. the second you see him, emerge and open fire with your gun, filling both Sidorov and anyone else in the room that's not you with lead! and in case any of them manage to get up close and personal with you, hit 'em with the axe you brought—ideally decapitating them, but anything that incapacitates them works4. Send a message to the Russian Mafia that they're making a big mistake messing with me!
>chop off the now-deceased Sidorov's head with your axe and carve Carmello's initials into his forehead—fittingly enough, "CB" also happens to be your initials, so this shouldn't be too hard. then, stick the head on a pike and display it right outside the entrance of the base, for all of Little Russia to see5. Recover the stolen weapons and bring them back to my warehouses in Santa Castillo.
>finally, change into a cosplay of Nabbit from the Mario games, stash away all of the stolen weapons in the eternally-expanding item sack of hammerspace, and make a mad dash back towards the warehouse. the good thing about Nabbit is that he's fast and thorough—jury's still out on whether he's sharp as a tack, though
RE: Close Circle - Senͥtrͣeͫt - 08-21-2021 Hiro's a little hesitant to, y'know, kill a guy, but what the hell. He's already a criminal going into this, he might as well go the whole nine yards. But how to do it... 1. I still have some decent weaponry in the storage room. Arm yourself with the best weapons you can find. ...So, what could possibly be a good weapon for this kinda thing? How about... a knife! Small, but effective! Grab one and stuff it in your comically oversized 'do. Next, grab some of the good stuff (trust me, this'll come in handy later) and stuff it in a suitcase or something. Hidden, of course. That's all you're gonna need! 2. Head up to Little Russia and search for Sidorov. First of all, figure out where Little Russia is, leg it 'till you're too tired and far enough away from a settlement, and hitchhike... but as soon as someone stops, force 'em out of the car GTA style, take their phone, and drive off. Shove all your stuff in a car. 3. Deal with Sidorov permanently. Here's where it all comes together - get yourself close and alone with Sidorov with your illegal drugs and convincing any and all guards you're his dealer. When you're alone, SURPRISE! Hair knife him, and probably gag from the blood. 4. Send a message to the Russian Mafia that they're making a big mistake messing with me! Stop yourself from getting the hell outta dodge, you aren't done yet. Use his blood to write "DON'T FUCK WITH US" on the wall, and leave a calling card on Sidorov's soon rotting corpse. 5. Recover the stolen weapons and bring them back to my warehouses in Santa Castillo. Grab the stolen weapons, and maybe a few other things too to impress the boss, jump out a window or something, shove 'em in the back of the car and FLOOR IT. Once you get to the warehouse, leave the car somewhere and shove all the stuff in there, walk the rest of the way back, and pray to every god you know that it turned out fine. Thankfully, no one is the wiser as they don't know what their workers of the lower rung look like. Your plan goes perfectly. 3. And just when you think things couldn't get any worse, you find the back-up the guard have called now have the weaponry heavily guarded. It's too risky for you to even try. You manage to get out of the building. Sadly, there's no Taxi nearby and the guards are now onto you. Running away, you fall into an open sewer and land in some sewage.
