[Mafia] Witch Trip 2: The Witch is Back
Kellamu...

The General's Challenge
1. You all find yourselves caught in the rain. And the clouds bring the lightning and thunder as bolts strike at everyone. The lightning creeps closer to you, aiming to hit you all. Evade the bolts and get to safety.
Konji discards his bronze hook and silver bottle to attract the lightning, then folds up his wings and crouches due to his height. With this air, he won't be able to fly, so height is of the essence now. He stays away from the RVs and heads away from the river. His large size should distribute some of the shock, but he still wants to avoid the pain.

2. The rainfall increases tenfold. Before you know it, you find the camp is flooding. Reach high ground or drown.

Konji tries to find a tree and push it down so he can lay upon it. If not, he may have to float with his wings extended as natural paddles. Anything to stay away from the lightning, even if these baby trees may snap from such force.

3. Now the rainwater has turned to blood. The sharks from the river are swimming after you, looking for a nice meal. Fight them off otherwise you're dinner.
Unfortunately, Konji now regrets discarding his hook and may have to resort to wrestling them by hand, possibly even leaving some to suffocate in air. These are chump change compared to the water beasts on his home planet, but if he gets anything bitten off he has five extra limbs to spare (and hopefully a hook, if it's not corroded by the blood).

You know where you are? You're in the jungle baby.

1. Brilliant thinking. Abandoning your equipment as the lightning strikes it. It's attracted to your belongings. But you manage to make your way to the river, carefully avoiding the strikes. No problem.

Rolled 8 and 1+ for your cunning for 9.

2. The tree is well-planted to the ground. It's too much for you to push down, especially for your age. So you have to settle for using your wings to keep afloat. You manage to not drown, but you're still sore from the tree.

Rolled 6 and 1- for old age for 5.

3. But it's okay. The adrenaline rush after seeing the sharks serves you well as you easily outman (or should I say outdragon) them. You pile-drive them into some trees and chokehold them all to death. And all without a single bite on your flesh.

Rolled 8.

General Konji Lonjummu has scored a total of 22 points.

Ai and Popo's Challenge
1. You all find yourselves caught in the rain. And the clouds bring the lightning and thunder as bolts strike at everyone. The lightning creeps closer to you, aiming to hit you all. Evade the bolts and get to safety.

"Be careful, Popo!" Ai quickly escorts Popo into the safest place she can think of; the nearest RV. They hide from the lightning bolts inside.

2. The rainfall increases tenfold. Before you know it, you find the camp is flooding. Reach high ground or drown.

Ai and Popo quickly run into the nearest tree and try to climb up the tree to avoid the flood.

3. Now the rainwater has turned to blood. The sharks from the river are swimming after you, looking for a nice meal. Fight them off otherwise you're dinner.

"Since when do sharks live in the river?" Of course, Ai has weapons. Before the sharks go after Popo, she will defend him by using the tasers on the sharks to drive them off.

Hiiii!
Claudette's head is still ringing from that lightning strike, even though she was resurrected.

...Damn, this place has bad energy

1. You are quick to rush Popo to the RV as the lightning strikes. You all chose a pretty safe place as they all happen. You manage to make it through without them striking your RV.

Rolled 6 and 1+ for your protective nature for 7.

2. You all barely manage to make the tree on time. The flood quickly forms around you. But you all acted fast enough to make it up high in time. If you had relented a few seconds more, it might not have ended well for you.

Rolled 6.

3. You try hard to fight off the sharks with the taser. But you are not match for them. But at the least, you distract them enough to get Popo to safety before they devour you. After Popo reaches a safe place, the Ranger points his/her finger to where you were eaten and you too are resurrected, safe with Popo.

I hope my pets enjoy the meal. But you were but a mere appetizer for them. Perhaps later you will serve as the main meal.

Rolled 2 and 1+ for weapons efficiency for 3.

Veronica's Plan
1. You all find yourselves caught in the rain. And the clouds bring the lightning and thunder as bolts strike at everyone. The lightning creeps closer to you, aiming to hit you all. Evade the bolts and get to safety.

Veronica tucks her arms over her head to shield herself and just... runs for her RV and gets inside. Hopefully this thing is well grounded enough, but at least it's shelter.

2. The rainfall increases tenfold. Before you know it, you find the camp is flooding. Reach high ground or drown.

Oh dear, that probably includes the inside of the RV. She's gonna grab a spare piece of clothing to shield herself... oh let's say some of the bones from earlier with because she just KNOWS she can do something with them, and get on TOP of her RV.

3. Now the rainwater has turned to blood. The sharks from the river are swimming after you, looking for a nice meal. Fight them off otherwise you're dinner.

Oh hey maybe those bones will come in handy here. So will punching. Punching sharks works, right? She could swear she saw that on like... Mythbusters or one of those shows. Punch them and stun them and club them with the heaviest bone you got like you're a freaking... Cubone or Marowak or something. And try to bring a tree branch down using TELEKINESIS (and gravity, mostly gravity).

Stupid doomed timeline...

1. You manage to run right into the RV in time. The lightning gets closer and closer until it strikes your RV, and now it's on fire. But your self-awareness serves you well as you manage to escape the RV before the flames envelop it and run into a random RV where you avoid the strikes the rest of the way.

Rolled 9 and 1+ for your wit for 10.

2. You not only grab more clothes for protection, you also grab a bedsheet. You get on top of the RV. Using the bones and the sheet, you make yourself a makeshift sailboat as the RV rises to the top with the water. You move along, setting sail among the camp flood. Shiver those timbers, Veronica! Do you wanna be a pirate now?

Rolled 8 and 1+ for wit for 9.

3. The escapades among the RVs have tired you out a bit. But you still manage to punch all the sharks you can see and club them all with your bone. And then you finish them off by dropping the tree branch on them. Not the easiest fight for you, but you pretty much held your own pretty well.

Rolled 8 and 1- for lack of physical strength for 7.

Phikul's plan
1. You all find yourselves caught in the rain. And the clouds bring the lightning and thunder as bolts strike at everyone. The lightning creeps closer to you, aiming to hit you all. Evade the bolts and get to safety.
Phikul scrabbles around, trying to find a hole or some sort of opening in the ground. The trees and the RV all seem too likely to be struck by the bolts and catch fire. Eventually, he manages to find a small cave and tucks himself inside.

2. The rainfall increases tenfold. Before you know it, you find the camp is flooding. Reach high ground or drown.
Fortunately, deer are good at swimming, and Phikul's height means he is able to keep his head above water for enough time to allow him to escape. He makes his way to a tall, tree-covered hill, more like an island in the raging waters. Seeing that hooves aren't very practical for climbing, he quickly recites the incantation that changes him into yaksha form. Feeling his way around, he eventually finds a sturdy-looking branch and stays there.

3. Now the rainwater has turned to blood. The sharks from the river are swimming after you, looking for a nice meal. Fight them off otherwise you're dinner.
What in the woods? Sharks are saltwater animals!
After he manages to get all his outrage at the host's lack of knowledge on ecology out of the way, Phikul thinks about how he'll fend them off. He doesn't want to fight, so he figures that he'll use his magic and sing some spell that'll placate them. So that's what he does. The magic snakes out of his lips and curves around the fish like vines. He doesn't have as much power over creatures outside his domain, but he hopes that it'll still work.

1. You manage to keep calm under pressure. Sure the lightning strikes dangerously close to you as you search for the cave, which takes you a bit of time to find, by the way. But you do reach it eventually and hide from the strikes the rest of the way.

Rolled 4 and 1+ for calmness for 5.

2. Thankfully, the trees aren't in short supply and you have a bit easier time finding one. The water raises a lot quicker than you expected, but you make it up high just in time.

Rolled 6.

3. Phikul isn't quite aware these aren't normal sharks nor are they normal waters. They are specialized sharks from the Hells the Witch herself summoned and can swim around in any water. But nevertheless, the spell works out pretty well. The sharks stop dead in their tracks and the snakes all squeeze them to death. All in all, things worked out for Phikul.

And so we strike. The wolf shall not let mere weather halt her advance.

Excerpt from Saga of the Wolf Queen of Vahlenmiahl. Stanzas 18-21, Alksor Yraan Korylezht. The Wolf Weathers the Storm.
1.) No lightning can stop the wolf. She launches a storm of her own, a storm of metal-tipped arrows high into the sky to divert the lightning. No bolt can aim true when so many things offer less resistance than her. Swifter, more accurate, she finds her mark better than even than storms can. Her Misdirection Is Legend.

2.) No flood can strike her down. Death floats, and many wolves lie dead around the encampment. She lashes the corpses together with their own intestines, creating a gruesome raft upon which she can float, standing proud all the while. This ground, made of past victory, under the flood shall never sink, for glory is eternal. Her Ingenuity Is Legend.

3.) In an ocean of blood of her foes' making, she shall meet no resistance, for all shall fear her, and the world knows its true master. Few sharks, even magic sharks, will dare approach her. She is terror itself. The ones foolish enough to do so, or brave enough, she can cut to shreds with her axe. Wolves of the sea or hunters of the river, they cannot face nor truly be compared to The Wolf. Her Victory Is Legend.

Ting-Lu's Challenge
1. You all find yourselves caught in the rain. And the clouds bring the lightning and thunder as bolts strike at everyone. The lightning creeps closer to you, aiming to hit you all. Evade the bolts and get to safety.
Being a Ground-type, it's not the lightning that bothers Ting-Lu, it's the rain.
It bolts into the nearby trees for cover (because that's how it works, right?), seeing as it can't fit into an RV and guesses the same will apply for nearby buildings. The trees are probably a lesser evil here.

2. The rainfall increases tenfold. Before you know it, you find the camp is flooding. Reach high ground or drown.
Ting-Lu retreats further into the trees towards a hilltop. If it gets bad, its significant height means it can raise its head above the water to an extent, but it'll probably sink if it gets so bad the hilltop is flooded. If it gets desperate, it can try using Rock Slide to create a platform or climbing a tree, but good luck with the latter.
(OOC: I don't know if it needs to breathe, but I don't think it matters here; being trapped in a flood is definitely not healthy for it anyway.)

3. Now the rainwater has turned to blood. The sharks from the river are swimming after you, looking for a nice meal. Fight them off otherwise you're dinner.
Assuming the rains and flood haven't weakened it too much, this is more up its street.
After uttering a bellow of challenge (if its head is above-blood), its plan of action depends on whether they all attack at once or one at a time/in waves.
If they don't all attack at once, it will use Spikes to set traps for when the next ones approach. They can lance up to damage the sharks and aren't single-use. (OOC: I presume this is the case because of the gameplay-story discrepancy in Pokemon. Things like Beedrill, Mega Alakazam, Shedinja, Sharpedo and Miraidon look like they're floating or flying, but are technically grounded and so are hurt by them. Things like Dodrio, Galarian Zapdos, Natu, Sky Forme Shaymin and pre-Sun/Moon Gengar look grounded, but technically aren't and so are immune.)
Regardless, its typing means it can handle most biting attacks, especially things like the most likely analogues Bite and Crunch. Unless they have something like Ice Fang or Fishious Rend, or it comes down to a war of attrition and it goes down in a thousand cuts. But given that it can dish out what it takes, the latter's not very likely.
It can use Earthquake to fend them off. The sharks aren't all that safe even if they're not on land. Failing that, the aforementioned Rock Slide should suffice. Both are solid crowd control attacks.

What else needs saying?
TRIPLE STAR
That's what you are.
Amazing!
Ah!

1: The most sturdy looking buildings are probably the cabins and assembly hall. How to get there though? Just keep my head down and leg it!
2: Near the cabins is a flagpole. I'll just grab hold... the water should help carry me up, much as I loathe it.
3: Okay, now this is getting dramatic and ridiculous. From what I know about sharks, they are ambush predators, and want to fight weak prey. If I give them a cat-scratch to the gills, or maybe the nose, maybe they'll see me as too much trouble... right? Or are these Demon Sharks From Hell, Michigan?
hey who turned out the lights?

1. Your arrows work for you. You go in firing and manage to keep the lightning away from you. However, you choose not to let up because you think it might get dangerously close to you. But you manage to keep it all away from you for the most part.

Rolled 5 and 1+ for archery for 6.

2. Your wolf corpse boat works surprisingly well. Sure you had to intimidate some of the bugs that were chewing on the bodies away, but it manages to keep you afloat. Stand proud, for your craftsmanship has suited you well.

Rolled 6.

3. The sharks approach you. But they decide it's not really worth going after you. They all fear you. It says something about you when even demonic sharks from Hell are even intimidated by you. What are you, the Doomslayer? Still, your mere presence is Legend.

Rolled 7 and 1+ for intimidation for 8.

1. The rain does burn away at you for a bit. But it's not too much of a problem as you manage to find a huge tree that's actually big enough to shield you from any more drops. Convenient how that happens to be there, isn't it? Don't question it; just be grateful it's there.

Rolled 9 and 1- for water weakness for 8.

2. And again, the RNG loves you. You find a hill that happens to be high enough were you can overlook the water without even coming close to drowning it. You can admire the view of all the floating RVs (one of which is made into a pirate ship) and the wolf corpse boat without worry.

Rolled 9.

3. And this is where things get interesting. You bring out the spikes which manage to stop the sharks dead in their tracks. And while they're all stuck dealing with that, you unleash the Earthquake. But you don't realize how powerful your move really is. The forceful trembles is more than enough to kill the sharks. . But then it creates a massive tidalwave of blood water that splashes right into you and washes you off the hill into the bottom. You feel yourself getting weaker from the blood water until you drown.

The Ranger walks on the water and rises your body out of the flood onto dry land. With the snap of his/her fingers, you are back to life.

You are much too powerful for your own good, are you not?.

Rolled 10.

From the shores of northern isles to the bay on southern shore, from Regia to Sandcoast, She reigns forever more. The world she was born of shall forever know her name, for once Alksorkhin rises, nothing can be the same.

When the storm and rains die down and the floodwaters recede, she still stands upon her gruesome raft. She says nothing for a long time. The wind whips her hair, and once again the plants, drenched and weakened though they are, seem to be bending away from her.

The world knows its master, it knows that She has come, for once Alksorkhin rises, the kings of old are done.

I have twice proven my power, and still you do not submit, Vahldahl-Kahstahr? I cannot be stopped. I cannot be delayed. Your choice comes ever closer. Submit to me or be destroyed utterly.

1. Very good. The assembly hall is bigger, so you head into there where you manage to avoid the lightning attack and shield yourself from the rest of the strikes.

Rolled 8.

2. As you attempt to cling onto the flagpole, you don't notice the base ground of it has given out due to the force of the waters. You don't notice it until too late as the flagpole falls into the bottom, pinning you into the ground and drowning faster than you can say meow.

But before you know it, you find yourself alive one again in a safe spot.

I have heard the expression curiosity has killed the cat. But you probably lack all the senses to know when you are close to death.

Rolled 4 and 1- for lack of perception for 3.

3. But at the least, you show this cat has claws. Right for the gills you go. The Hell Sharks skins might be more tougher than Earth Sharks, but you cut through the gills like paper. They all slump to the bottom as the blood chunks of their bodies makes the area you're in into liquid sushi. Do you like the taste of shark meat? You can feel a bit of it drip into your mouth as you marvel on how you killed the beasts.

A doll's scheme!

"I'm immune to a lot of things, but I don't think lightning is one of them," Maryann mutters. "Welp, nothing to it." She smears some mud on herself in hopes that this will provide some insulation, then dashes the fuck away from the lightning hell circle and makes her way to the assembly hall.

2. The rainfall increases tenfold. Before you know it, you find the camp is flooding. Reach high ground or drown.
"Brilliant. Okay. At least I can handle this." She swaps out the yoyo part of her yoyos for... what are those, yoyos but grabby? They're studded like cleats. Who invented that? Whoever did, they seemed to have this exact scenario in mind, as Maryann uses them like a pair of grappling hooks to climb her way up and up as far as she can reach.

And as a backup plan, she doesn't actually need to breathe, so the water shouldn't kill her anyway. Might suck, so still worth avoiding, but she'll live.

3. Now the rainwater has turned to blood. The sharks from the river are swimming after you, looking for a nice meal. Fight them off otherwise you're dinner.
"Sharks don't live here!!!" She swaps the grappling yoyos for... why does she have sharp yoyos, actually more importantly why do sharp yoyos exist - and she's swinging for the sharks, but not to kill? Just to wound, it seems, getting them to bleed so they go after each other instead of her.

"Not that I can bleed myself, but I'm not sure they're capable of figuring out I'm a doll."

The ranger raises his/her arms in the air. The skies darken even more. Storm clouds summon above the entire camp. Raindrops pitter and patter across the ground. Soon everyone gets drenched as the drops increase in speed. And lightning bolts explode around you all.

I love a nice rainy day. Do you fools agree?

CHALLENGE TIME

1. You all find yourselves caught in the rain. And the clouds bring the lightning and thunder as bolts strike at everyone. The lightning creeps closer to you, aiming to hit you all. Evade the bolts and get to safety.

2. The rainfall increases tenfold. Before you know it, you find the camp is flooding. Reach high ground or drown.

3. Now the rainwater has turned to blood. The sharks from the river are swimming after you, looking for a nice meal. Fight them off otherwise you're dinner.

DEADLINE IS JUNE 22, 6:00 PM CST

!!!

Okay, Jenny... Stay Calm... I can do this...

1: Lay low and periodically crouch with your legs together, making sure only to touch the ground with the legs.

2: Trees! *[she uses the nearby trees to climb on, while also making a makeshift raft from the surrounding wood...]*

3: Okay, Sharks... UM... Jump on them and use them as platforms, making sure to stomp as hard as possible to hopefully hit their eyes or gills...
I don't understand any of this... I'm in a world of complete insanity...

1. You find all the mud you can and bathe yourself in it. Perhaps a little too much of it. Layer after layer of mud, and suddenly you look like a Bigfoot doll. You run into the Assembly Hall without getting struck. But as you wait for the lightning to die off, all that mud dries and solidifies you inside itself. You wiggle around in attempts to get unstuck. You eventually manage to do so by making yourself tip over and fall, shattering the hardened mud. The fall hurts, but nevermind that now. The flood is coming.

Rolled 10.

2. The environment is much too wet for your yo-yos to grab onto anything. You keep trying, getting more desperate as the flood raises further. But it's all in vain as the waters push you away right into the barrier the Witch has set up around her camp. Colliding with said barrier makes you burst into flames. The flood waters do douse them, but not before your body is reduced to burnt doll cinders.

The Ranger rises out of the water and snaps his/her fingers and now you're resurrected again, back on safe ground.

I laugh at the fools who think they can escape my barriers and run right into them. But the environment itself forcing you into the barriers is even more amusing.

Rolled 2 and 1- for lightness for 1.

3. You don't want to die again, but you're still determined to use your yo-yos. Where they fail at grappling, they are effective in battling the sharks. They are all wounded and now are fixated on fighting each other. You swim to a safe place as you watch the creatures destroy themselves.

Rolled 6 and 1+ for yo-yo skills for 7.

Maryann Davis has scored a total of 18 points.
I like bananas. They're yellow.
Gah! Drowning is not how I wanted to lose life number two... purrhaps I should be grateful I only died once...
hey who turned out the lights?
Ting-Lu shrugs off its brief meeting with death. At least it was (unwittingly) self-inflicted, so the witch didn't have the satisfaction of taking it down herself.
Worth it.
It declared that with absolute certainty.
What else needs saying?
TRIPLE STAR
That's what you are.
Amazing!
"Mom! Are you okay!?"

"I'm fine."

"I never knew sharks live in rivers or the forest!"

"Bull sharks do, but i suspect that these sharks might be anomalous."
Hiiii!
I like how ye think,” Phikul says, smiling in what he figures is their direction.
